great points. I am disappointed to hear that the paddle shifters can only be used in S mode. The dealer in my area doesn't have a 2014 yet, but I am looking forward to test driving it when they get it. Is the blind spot monitoring system a part of the vision assist package? -

Not worth it! You cannot ride the trails on sandy neck. The permits are strictly to go on the beach for Bon fires and the such but not for off-roading on the dunes. That's illegal in MA. They close the beach most of the time anyways bc of pipping plovers. -

Just picked up the LR4. So far so good. Actually feels like its driving better than before the problem. Engine seems to be smoother and I feel as if I have some more power. Could be my imagination, but I definitely notice a difference. Here is what was done. -

Update... Called LR Roadside assistance, The Lady who answered my call was very courteous and helpful. They had a tow truck in my driveway within 2 hours. When I went to pick up the loaner later in the afternoon, they had just gotten the LR4 and determined that the fuel injectors were faulty... -

The smell is coming from the engine. There is no turnover. The engine doesn't even start. I will call the dealer as soon as they open. Hopefully they can tow it today. I will keep everybody posted. To be honest, I was intent on leasing the 2014 LR4 or the RRS, but now I am rethinking it. -

Picked up the LR4 today. They said it was a faulty brake switch. They replaced the brake switch and cleared the codes. I'm Not sure what a brake switch is. Didn't have time to discuss with service manager. Seems to be ok now. -
