+1 with Mike's thought. The oily residue on these types of filters are simply not compatible with current MAF technology. The residue inhibits the sensors functions and will gum up the exposed portions of the sensor. This has been noted on many new Bosch MAF fitted vehicles such as BMW's...
Apologies Neil. Nothing personal mate. I am quite sure your products are awesome. I seriously want a set. But, I am quite serious about the mark-ups in the US markets. I buy all my parts directly from the UK to save $$. On average (including shipping), I save over 150%. No exaggeration...
It's a STEALER!?! Uh...no. I will not purchase parts from a dealer. Not happening. They will mark it up stupid like. Your normal price of say $250 USD will end up being $600.
My LR3 is my company car as was my GTI. I wanted more room for the fam and clients. The LR3 was perfect. Not to mention the fun of off road. Presently hunting for a new toy for track.
2009 VW GTI 4dr (company car)
1989 Porsche 968 powered S2 track toy
2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

If you bought these, I certainly hope you are going to USE them for what they are intended for. Which means - WGAF about the noise. Sheesh...
And furthermore you cannot put sound deadening material in a place where it will come in contact with severe amounts of moisture. Meaning - mud...
This is not correct. Airbags require a signal from an accelerometer like sensor located in the front chassis members (very close to the bumper) of most cars to activate. When that sensor moves violently (within a specified parameter), the sensor sends a signal directly to the airbag to deploy...
Yep. It is presently only hanging on by a single screw.
(Side note - he was hoping it would come completely off so he could get a new aftermarket bumper.)
What's funny is that we went down through this mess without a hitch. We then turned around and came back up through the trail. I admit - bad, bad choice on the approach. No question. In fact, it was my second thought that I went with. Oops. Lesson learned. :stupid:
Went for a nice ride wheeling in North GA. Went down this one trail just fine, coming back - whoops. Result - I scraped the top of the slider. Yep - the top. To this point, I still am amazed I did not damage the whole driver's side of the LR. It is VERY obvious, the RS slider prevented the...
Vibration - not normal.
I had to refinish mine as well. It's really easy. Go to home depot and buy some professional Rustoleum enamel paint in Satin or semi-gloss back. Buy some 220 grit sand paper and give the entire rack a good sanding. Then take a wet rag to wipe all the dust off...
HOLY CRAP!!! Buy it all. I have the fairing left over if you want it. It's just sitting in my garage. I am pretty certain it's just about perfect.
I will trade you, plus cash for the snorkel (providing its in nice shape).
EDIT: Just checked the fairing - yep. It's a little dusty...
Just do the low profile mod. The second level on the rack is pretty much useless anyway. And yes, it does reduce the wind noise. Looks better too. Here's mine:
Always, always, always, stick to "Top Tier" gasolines. They have the proper additives to help keep the engine from getting fouled. "Top Tier" fuels are from the following:

Buy cheap gas, pay the price later. Trust me.
Yep. No need for the 2x4 though. Just centered the jack. Driver's side required some slight metal "persuasion". Once all was aligned, rock'n roll. Passenger side was a breeze.
PITA referred to a comparison with sliders for say a FJ Cruiser or a Jeep. Massively simpler and much, much cheaper.
