I'd definitely refrain from any vanity plates on this one: they'd look pretentious and silly...like the ones I saw on an MB convertible the other day...they said something like BBYGRL
This forum is pathetic now. I understand there ought to be some kidding around, occasional temper tantrums etc.
But now its nothing but endless trolling and insults that go well beyond any sense of decorum and taste: something one might expect on a Dodge Neon board.
There's absolutely no...
I've had it happen once in 4 months of ownership and 3k miles: the screen and everything on it went dead. I restarted the car after 5 minutes and everything worked fine since then
Yeah, look,,,it is an open forum where peoples can ask all kinds of queries and expect good honest advice...
...and its gonna cost me only $128,000 + FAT to get it there...
WELL???
Not to derail the thread...
But I plan to take my LR to Antarctica, and the closest service center is only 1500 km away....
Forum members, please tell me...should I or should I not?
Now, good sir, every single respondent to your initial query made it clear that LR4 would NOT be as reliable as a Toyota and in fact encouraged you NOT to pursue a LR4 purchase in Nepal.
What is it that you still don't understand?
My LR4 retailed for over 60K, and I bought it for the bling and the boxy body style. Can't really agree that RR is more bling-y, I think it's very understated for a 90k truck
Get a Toyota; the new LR4 is more of a luxury vehicle than a workhorse. And if you get an LR4 cotrary to everyone's recommendations, you shall curse the moment you laid your eyes on this capricious beauty
Sounds about right to me....when researching maintenance cost, I was quoted around $500 by a dealership (from which I didn't buy due to teir unwillingness to negotiate the price)
The general dysfunction of this forum (that includes both shameless trolling and naive cheerleading) reflects the world around us and is to be expected.
That's why we have moderators...to keep it nice and clean (or not)
Sorry to hear you got rid of your LR.
I am not quite sure I understand the financial part of your reasoning though: doesn't one take a major depreciation hit and loses tons of money when trading in so early in their ownnership?
Everyone is crazy here, which is much better than being boring....
OTH, Range Rover guys are as dead as a door nail. I bet half of those who strut their stuff in a $100k RR don't ever turn the interwebz on
The answer to your question is they will make you come again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again
...and then your truck will blow up and the world will end
When I was looking at the Land Rover, I also considered a Lexus GX 460. I visited a few Lexus dealerships. One dirtbag of a salesman in a lame attempt to bash the competitor, told me that "Land Rover is like a supermodel, looks gorgeous and rides well, but is super high maintenance"...
I would love to see Evoque succeed, in spite of being grumpy of its exterior design and engine. The brand needs to diversify its offerings and sell some cars to avoid becoming a boutique-style dynosaur doomed for extinction or being gobbled up by someone else and totally bastardized as a rsult...
...I will be driving mine somewhere in the northern midwest where winter is 8 months out of
12. Can't wait and see how it acts when it is -10 F. That said, it's time I moved somewhere nice, maybe to Arizona, or something
