Doors won’t lock with door switch?
I just tried to lock my doors with the lock/unlock button on the door, and they won’t lock. They do unlock, but lock button does nothing. If I push the lever above the door handle the doors lock. I’m planning to do the whole timing chain kit, so new chains, guides, tensioners, valve cover gaskets. I’ve read enough forums to know I should just change the chains while I’m there, some say they stretch, and with 125k on the clock why not. I haven't given it a proper cleaning / degreasing, but I guess that is a mute point considering I have committed to the Timing Chain / Guide / Tensioner Replacement. Oil leak?
On another note I just changed the vacuum pump seal, super easy. Took me maybe 10-15 minutes. The old seal didn’t seem too bad, but I did notice it was much harder than the new one. Fingers crossed that I fixed one leak. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- MW3Designs

When I started this post I was going to replace the vacuum pump, as I suspected it to be “one” of my leaks. It wasn’t in stock at the time so I just grabbed a new gasket. I bought one of the oil evacuators from Harbor Freight, think its a "Holt". When I tried to use it, the rubber adapters were such a hard rubber I couldn't get it onto the tube under the oil cap to suck out the oil.
