    hitachi compressor use

So, my new AMK compressor is due next week and, old and leaky as it is the old hitachi is still able to rise the LR3, so I was thinking to adapt it to the boot so that I can use it to inflate the tyres after airing down when off road. Is this possible?? can I connect it to the 12v power outlet...

    Random misbehaviour

when I bought the vehicle I wasn't aware of the EPB system! wen I realised what it was I thought immidately "fcuking technology makes everything more prone to failure" a lever and a cable is far better than this rubbish we all know it, even the imbecile engineer who came up with it. that makes...

    Random misbehaviour

While waiting for the new compressor my LR3 has presented 2 new random errors: 1st- 2 days ago I used the parking brake as per usual (I use it almost every time I park) and it started flashing a yellow brake light and saying parking brake fault after I turned the engine off. I then turned it on...

can a leak in the EAS compressor

Thanks KMET, my LR3 is has standard OEM 19" tyres, I don't use johnson rods but I've been thinking about it. I do not have the IIDTool, I do travel off road on remote trails. However, I've decided to change the EAS compressor for the new AMK instead of the coil conversion.

Had to say Goodbye...but it was a good run.

Cool! I heard the lad in charge of the new defender (L663) is a series owner and he also drives a 110 so I suppose he'll point the defender in the right direction!

What tools and parts to carry on long road trips?

as for break lights, air filters and the likes you can watch how this lads change them at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7DE818C6ABC9EFC9 atlantic british has also got some good videos regarding the LR3 as for the tools and spares, I never carry anything but a towing strap so I can't...

    Strut or suspension failure?

I've got some experience with suspension issues on my LR3, anyhow it sounds as gghaggis says, the height sensor. Calibration settings may be off as well... if it doesn't drop overnight a leak is highly unlikely

    Front valve block leak

here's a picture of the rear one mate, that's just in front the rear left strut http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=27111 there's another between the compressor and the reserve, and the front one I can't remember but I think is @ the right of the vehicle.

can a leak in the EAS compressor

yah it is weird, thank you cmb6s, the leak is actually in the dryer I can see that one! I checked the valve today and no bubbles came out of it nor n the connections so I guess they are telling the truth. I will buy the AMK compressor bc this one is almost 10yrs old so it will fail eventually...

    Fuel system cleaner

Just spent the afternoon checking the rear valve block myself and indeed found no leaks at all, neither on the connections to the airbags, so perhaps it is indeed my compressor. I don't think yours is the compressor for one reason: When I took it to the last indy mechanic and told him about...

    Fuel system cleaner

oh techron yes! I've seen that, mmm might give it a try... shipping times for the bg44k aren't bad tho so I might just stick to that one, btw if you've got a mminute check my post on the EAS leak, it's rather suspicious/interesting hahaha

can a leak in the EAS compressor

So, after months abroad I'm gonna be using the LR3 again and it still has this fault, took it to a third mechanic (2 independent and the dealership) and he swears it is the compressor, according to him he pumped up the EAS with another compressor and it did not leak any air?? It makes no sense...

    Fuel system cleaner

Guys which fuel system cleaner do you recommend? I heard in this forum BG's 44K but I'm having a bit of trouble finding it here in Mexico. Is there any descent alternative? prestone any good? I'm currently getting 11 mpg so perhaps an injector cleaner may help

    Strange behavior

It has happened to me A LOAD of times actually (too many to count) no faults or anything I just set it up to normal and everything's alright. I have a theory: the lr3 senses the ground too close and thinks it needs to go into extended mode?

Is this the rear air valve?

hmmm so I guess I'll ask a mechanic to do it for me then... thanks!
