    Went to use hitch...surprise!

I never had a tune up. I traded it in with a little over 84K miles. Are you showing any codes. If you don't have a reader take it to a auto parts store they will read it for free.

New to me 2014; how to start?

Welcome to the forum. It is possible the front rotors warped because the caliper pins were installed wrong. There was a thread that explained how they should be installed. https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/brake problems-again-sticking-calipers.30706/ This will explain what you need to...

    2015 LR4 Check Engine Light

On my 2015 LR4 I have had this fault once under warranty and then again just about 10 weeks ago. While under warranty they replaced the high and low pressure fuel sensors and I am not sure what else. They never sent me the work performed information. This last time after clearing the fault...

Lr4 coolant flush and bleed procedure

You will need an air compressor to pull the vacuum. Other than that you should be ok.

    Went to use hitch...surprise!

The bolt in receiver on Amazon looks like it will do the job you want. If you get too close to the bumper you may hit your shin. It will stick out some. The one that you can buy from Land Rover is removable but as you say much less expensive.

    question about central lock

You might be able to go to the Land Rover Merriman website to see the part and price. They might even be able to help you with your programing question. If you have the door panel removed you should be able to remove and replace the actuator.

    Went to use hitch...surprise!

Do you have the towing package with your vehicle. If so you will find the adaptor under the panel on the left side behind your back seat. It is just opposite the panel where the jack is stored. To know if you have the tow package just look under the panel you removed yesterday and if you see...

Rear brake caliper slider pins loose?

I have changed the brakes on both my LR3 and LR4. The bolts have blue Loctite on them from the factory. I have not loctited them when changing the brakes but have not had any come out. Probably not tightened when the brakes were replaced. I also file the ears on the brake shoes so that they...

    Removed running boards

The aluminum blocks are spacers for mounting. They are bolted on. You can remove them. You may have to clean out the bolt heads in order to get the wrench to fit.

P0089 Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Performance

I have finally had my 2015 LR4 repaired for the exact same code you show on your first post. I have a generic code reader and it showed the P0089 code with know explanation. I took the vehicle to an auto parts store and it showed exactly what you had on your first post High Pressure regulator...

    Rear brake pad sensor replacement

The light should go out with a new sensor. My understanding is when the sensor contacts the rotor you break continuity and you get a brake warning. If you didn't get the connector fully seated you would still show the continuity break and a brake warning. Or you have a broken wire in the new...

    Brake problems again. Sticking calipers

Looking at the diagram from the workshop manual on the first page of this post. I am confused. The circled note says to make sure the bushed pin is in the lower hole. When I changed my brakes last week the bushed pin was in the upper hole and this is the first time the brakes were changed. I...

P0089 Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Performance

I have had the fault for several weeks now. I retired from a Ford engine plant just after Ford sold JLR. I checked with an engine engineer I knew and he gave me some pointers from when he had to do the trouble shooting problems with high and low pressure fuel pumps on Jag engines. He said the...

P0089 Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Performance

I have the same fault on my 2015 LR4 now. I had it while it was under warranty back in 2017. They replaced the high and low pressure sensors and the fault persisted. They finally replaced the fuel pump which required dropping the gas tank. I don't have a tool to check what is causing the...

    Brake problems again. Sticking calipers

This is great information. I was told the front pads on my LR4 needed to be replaced at my last trip to the dealer. I had purchased pads from NAPA for my LR3 and they seemed as good as original equipment. I went to NAPA for front pads for the LR4. They got them in and I brought them home...

    Freaking door lock

I had a similar problem on my 2015 LR4. It was the drivers door and they had to replace the mechanism inside the door. I was told the lock wouldn't latch. Lucky it was still under warranty.

Does each engine have a unique serial number?

There should be a barcode sticker on the engine. This will correspond to the date and time the engine was built. The engine plant uses this information to know how many repair bays the engine went thru during its build. This also helps if a problem turns up later after the vehicle is in...

    Rear Brakes on 2014 LR2

Has anyone worked on the rear brakes on a 2014 LR2. My wife's LR2 only has 14k miles on it and the rear brakes are scoring the rotors. I took one apart the other day and the pads look great except they are grooved from the scoring. Also I noticed that the electric parking brake isn't like the...

LR 4 - Rock Through Radiator?

I just went thru the same thing. On my 2015 LR4 a rock hit the super charger cooling radiator. The low level warning came on and went off for several miles. I thought the float was sticking. I got to an exit and just as I was going to stop the high temp. warning came on. I shut down the unit...

    TAILGATE WON'T OPEN

Atlantic British has a video to show you how to repair this. Go to roverparts.com. Doesn't look like too much fun, but looks do able if you are inclined. Also there is a post on this forum where a person put in a cable to unlatch the lock if this happens.

    Rear differential leak?

I had the same problem about a month ago. I have 35k miles on my 2015 LR4. It is still under warranty and they replaced the pinion seal took about 2 hours. Seems to be ok now. good chance it is a known problem, I didn't ask. They had to order the seal, that took about 3 days. You might...

    Brake pads already worn?

Another thing that I have seen happen is the pads don't slide freely thru the caliper. When I change brake pads, I always make sure the pads run freely thru the caliper, if they don't I file the ears on the brake pad. I also put anti seize along the notch on the caliper so that there is some...

Is this possible to remove '16 LR4 running boards?

You will not be missing any trim by removing the running boards. You do have to remove some trim but it has plastic push in clips that just reinstall in the same holes. You may run into safety problems if you ever have an accident and a passenger is injured, Land Rover probably will not stand...

    Wheel Hub Assembly Replacement

I did this job on my LR3 first the RH side and about 9 months later the LH. I had so much trouble getting the hub out of the bore the first time, I made a puller that fit over the wheel studs and used a slide hammer on the LH side. That was still a hard disassembly. The noise is a tell tale...

    OBDII code P0089

There have been some posts concerning problems with the fuel system possibly caused by running out of fuel. It is thought that you might pick up some dirt or water from the bottom of the tank although I believe they have the fuel pick-up above the bottom of the tank so not to pick up any...
