    OBDII code P0089

I finally got my LR4 back today after two and a half weeks in the shop. First they installed a couple of sensors and the fault would not clear. To clear the fault a new low pressure fuel pump and sender was installed in the gas tank. I have never let the gas drop much below a quarter empty...

Home setup/equipment for swapping wheels and undercarriage rinsing, etc.

I have seen a aide for reinstalling the wheels. It is two rods just smaller than the wheel holes that screw on the studs. One is just slightly longer than the other the longer about 4 in. long. When installing the wheels screw these rods on the upper most studs and slip the wheel over the...

    OEM hitch compatiblity

I have a hitch from my LR3 and I got one with the trailer tow package on my LR4. I found the only difference between the two is the length of the 2 in. tube going towards the spare tire. I had 18 in. wheels on the LR3 with the smaller spare and the LR4 has the full size spare 19 in wheels. I...

    LiftMaster garage door opener suck...

I have a Sommer garage door opener. It is made in Germany, uses a DC motor and is quiet. If you have a room over the garage you probably won't hear the door open. It works great with the Homelink system. The instructions in the LR manual aren't clear on the programming. I had to go on the...

    Eco mode

I picked up my 2015 LR4 in Dec. 2014. The ECO only worked when the temperature was high enough the first winter, and worked all summer. It didn't work much the second winter which I felt as due to the temperature. Once spring came it still wasn't working so I took it to the dealer. They had...

    OBDII code P0089

My 2015 LR4 has the check engine light on. Using my OBII code reader I get the code P0089 which I believe is the fuel pump. Has anyone had problems with this. I just a little over the 24k mileage mark so it is still under warranty. Thanks for any input.

Is this possible to remove '16 LR4 running boards?

Continuation from above. I looked under the vehicle and rust was forming on the running board framework. I removed them wire brushed, primed and undercoated both sides. Reinstalled and they did the same thing after last winter. I've been too busy this year but will do the same thing next...

    Slamming Tailgate

I had problems closing the front doors and the tailgate on my 2015 LR4 right after delivery. Seemed like I had to use too much force to get them to latch. I had to go back to the dealer a few weeks after delivery and told them about the problem. They lubed the door latches and tailgate latch...

    Front left brake grinding noise

I believe it is a 22mm and requires a 200 nm torque. If you jack up the car and pull on the tire and it wobbles you have a bad wheel bearing. It isn't a real easy repair but do able if you have a long breaker bar and a torque wrench. Don't try to buy just the bearings, buy the complete...

    Loose head bolts?

There is a flat area adjacent to the spark plug holes on the side of the head where the gasket was blown out. You should be able to remove at least 0.010 in. (0.254 mm) of material from the joint face to flatten out the head. Take it to a machine shop in your area that machines cylinder heads...

    Rear wheel bearing/hub replacement

Stuart; Glad you got if fixed. I do the same as you, buy the necessary tools to get the job done and then have them for the next time. You never know when you might need them again. If you ever have to take an inner bearing race off with a cut off wheel again, grind the slot parallel to the...

    Rear wheel bearing/hub replacement

If you don't get any answers from the forum give Atlantic British a call. Or look on their website. They have videos and if not for that fix they say they will answers repair questions on the phone. When I changed the front wheel bearings on my LR3 I made a plate to fit over the lug nuts and...

    Tow hitch question

My 2007 LR3 hitch did not fit a 2015 LR4 with a full size spare tire. The LR3 did not have a full size spare nor did it have the locking rear differential. The LR4 has both. I do believe you could trim down the LR3 hitch if you did have this interference.

    Eco Issues - 2015 LR4

I had an issue last summer. I picked up my LR4 Dec. 2014 and the ECO worked great all winter even when the temperature was below 32°. When summer came it seemed to stop working. At the end of the summer I had it to the dealer for its first oil change and they found the battery for the ECO had...

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?

The aluminum blocks are held on with three or four bolts I can' remember. They are not heat sinks. When I took off the side steps last spring to clean up the rust on the step frame I pulled each of the aluminum bolts off to anti seize the threads. If I remember they were 10mm hex bolts. Make...

Intelligent stop/start able to be disabled 2015/2016?

You can disconnect the wires to the Eco start battery and it will stop working again. I don't know what that will do to the battery for the Eco start if you live in a cold climate, I know in Cleveland it is better to keep a trickle charge on batteries that are out in the cold not being used in...

    just clarification here

I lost the front wheel bearings on my 07 LR3. There was noticeable shake when the car was jacked up. Not a real bad job but the torque for the axle nut if I remember correctly is 225 ft. lbs. Took a long bar to break it loose and the bearing had a bunch of rust on the outside race making for...

Intelligent stop/start able to be disabled 2015/2016?

I was at the dealer yesterday had my free 12month oil change. I mentioned that the Echo hadn't engaged in the last six weeks since the last time I was there for a door seal leak. They checked the Echo battery and found it at 75% charge with a 80% lower limit for the Echo to work. They tried to...

Intelligent stop/start able to be disabled 2015/2016?

I have noticed the start/stop not working this summer like it did last winter also. I seldom use the air conditioning just open a window. I mentioned it to the dealer about a month ago and they said if you don't see any faults it is working correctly. Something is different it worked in the...

Full size Spare - What will fit in the OEM space

I took a piece of nylon hex stock and drilled and ground the shape of the drive into the hex stock. I can now use a ratchet to raise and lower the spare tire. Much easier than removing the jack wrench. Seems to work great.

Part number for LR4 rear brake pads

Alex, According to Atlantic British the LR015519 is the correct part number. They have been an excellent source for me in the past. I was in a hurry once and picked up some rear break pads for my LR3 from NAPA and they worked great. You have to watch yourself on the rear breaks if you pull the...

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?

I figured out how to remove the side steps. First you remove the tread and aluminum outside rail by removing several nuts from the underside. Then you remove the black plastic trim piece along the rocker panel by removing the two rivets on underneath and the two sheet metal screws by the back...

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?

Dubroz; I was under my 2015 LR4 the other day and after the winter the frame for the steps is beat up with rocks and starting to rust. I wanted to remove them sand, hit with primer and spray on rubberized bed liner. I pulled out the bolts on the bottom shown in your picture and they are still...

    Hand Winch for Self Recovery?

http://rigging.com/index.php I worked in an automotive engine factory and the mill wrights used chain falls to lift objects into the over head. The above url has some. They are more expensive than the cable come along but less expensive than an electric winch. They are heavy but if you are...
