Asfir 4x4 sump guard
Got the gear one in place. Could only bolt on 4 cuz the 2 middle bolts just did not reach (will go in search of longer ones). Notice some oil on the old skid plate so I took it in that was 3 day ago... I miss my LR. Once I get it I'll put them on they all go in the same holes except for the...- ivan gonzalez

Can't find a chart I read in a different forum. They do recommend changing the oil depending on how hot/cold it is. I would call your local LR dealer to see what they recommend.- ivan gonzalez

Engine idle high when the AC is on
I had something similar happened on my first car a Nissan sentra 02 they did replace the computer, throttle body and some oxigen injectors to fix it. Hey its under warranty just it in.- ivan gonzalez

I got a few commercial diesel trucks and let me tell you that those vehicles are made to carry heavy loads high torque low horsepower even with turbos. Transmission has a lot to do with how it drives don't think they will make a LR4 to carry 15000lbs that said I do think you can get a lot more...- ivan gonzalez

I do hate California environmental law. V6 turbo cuz they cant stick more catalytic converters to offset the "pollution". I do hope for a diesel model on the 2015 LR4? LR5? If they won't give us V8 please GOD a diesel.- ivan gonzalez

Non LR dealer brake job
I say drop it off and a YouTube video on how to do them. Just did my bushings on my LR4 and the dealer gave me the wrong bushings so sometimes even they get it wrong. If I can do the job I rather do it myself. Before I got the LR4 I knew I had to learn how to do my own breaks can't justify 1800...- ivan gonzalez

11 mpg after 1 year of driving
Don't know what you expect from a 6000lbs car? Let's be real you can afford a LR4 gas shouldn't be an issue. What I do hate is how small the gas tank is. I got a Nissan titan as my daily (50 mile commute) and the tank last me 4 days the LR4 on the other hand...- ivan gonzalez

Its probably quality control. I read somewhere that's why people stop being a distribution for them. Beside if you can screw a light bulb you can figure out how to put on my skid plate its nothing mayor just not a perfect fit- ivan gonzalez

Mmmm I bolted the middle ones first since I was doing it alone and the back holes didn't aligned quite right its maybe a 1/8 to a 1/4 of an inch off and I will need to cut a 1 quare inch part that comes in contact with the exhaust. On the front guard the bigger piece the back holes don't quite fit must drill or cut to fit. And the front one I might have to cut the plastic to make it fit completely. Still haven't put them on cuz I'm doing the bushings tomorrow- ivan gonzalez

New to Forum and interested in buying a new LR4
I got 33k on my LR4 and have to change the bushings I think they just went cheep or the 6k pounds of awesomeness is just to much. Usually you see people doing that at 60k. But no big deal LR dealer wanted 100+ each bushing I found one in Texas that sold them for 25 a piece all original LR. You...- ivan gonzalez

Bushings are a problem, it will eat the break pads fast, not sure if they improved the nav system on the new LR4 and the tire selection (255/55/19) is just a pain if your going to do off road. If you are going off road get the HD package. These are the drag backs I see on my 2011 HSE that said...- ivan gonzalez
