hmm, MbW. My tire is a 285/60. I wonder if its the angle installed. I didnt crank it up as far as BRandon for fear of it getting stuck. It came out nice and easy when i dropped it.
interesting tidbit for those with larger tires, I went to install my hitch to pull my trailer and it would not fit with the full sized spare in place. I had to remove my spare to insert the hitch receiver.... That rear bumper with tire mount is getting higher on my priority list!!!
Looks great buddy! When i purchased my second set of caps, the dealer gave me some putty to keep them locked in. So far works great and I am not worried about the caps melting and falling off in this heat.
James, I recommend you looking at the johnsonrod website as they list popular tire sizes and if you need to have rods or modifications or stock height.

Axle questions?
So, has anyone shattered an axle on a LR4 or has anyone seen any aftermarket axles that are stronger than factory?
Stupid iPhone. Fixed tragic spelling errors ;)
Alex, I increased my wheel size by 2 inches. The only thing it effects is the accuracy of the speedo. The issue w the 19" rim, is te availability of tires, not enough sidewall, and their cost.
Just my Starbucks runs Dave ;)
From their website
In addition to our limited warranty, the Open Country A/T II comes with the following treadwear warranty:
P-metric/Metric: 65,000 miles
LT/Flotation: 50,000 miles
LOL, well I am biased! But, after 25K miles they still look new. I expect to get 60-80K off of them. Which is crazy for me because I was getting new tires every 12-16K miles in my BMW.....
