    Vision Assist or Climate Comfort?

Easy, both. What's another few thousand on a $50k truck?

Dealer: 2013 production for LR4 is over. No changes for 2014.

Me too and no issues in 3 years. One good thing about the 2010 was we got the iPod cable free and some of the stuff in the current vision package was standard on the lux back then.

    Audio volume

Volume level is not visible on the 2010s. The newer UI in 2012 added this capability.

    Lr4 Brakes

That sucks that you have had so much brake work completed in such a short period of time. I also own a 2010 and now have 40k. I had to replace the rotors and brake pads at 32k. I drive 70city/30highway mix too. Maybe I've been lucky with my pads and rotors because I would be pissed if I had...

    I'm one of you now!

LR of Frisco is a good dealer. Fred in the service department is great to work with. As far as trails, you should join the North Texas Rovers to get plugged into the local trails in north texas. There is one west of forth worth but most of us have gone to Barnwell Mountains as those trails...

    Memory Seats

Hey count, the door panel is pretty simple to pull as I did it a bunch of times to remove my speakers a few years back. I remember popping off the silver trim pieces by the door handles, the plastic cover inside the lock lever handle, and unscrewing the screws exposed behind these covers and...

OT: Ford doing away with v8 on F150 in 2015

Off topic, I just read an article that Ford announced that they will do away with the V8 in their F150 line along with going with a unibody construction in 2015. That is huge given how popular that truck is and the seemingly popular direction of turbo charging v6's nowadays. I wonder how much...

Headlights with factory HID, LED and Adaptive beam

My 2010 lux lights do turn but it's not as prominent as my wife's Lexus.

    Audio

For the value I put on my listening experience, no. But you have to decide for yourself what is good enough for you. The factory speakers are not cheap paper speakers so replacing them with equal caliber Infinitys to save some money would not make a difference, IMHO. In addition, buying...

2014 Range Rover Sport - NY Autoshow Next Month

Man, I have to disagree with the menacing description. That front looks more like an everyday SUV now than an iconic RAnge Rover. It looks soft and emasculated to me. I really hope the LR5 or disco 5 keeps some semblance of squareness and not another Victoria beckham inspiration.

    Audio

My Milles are the 2011 edition, component 2ways. I had them in my 4runner and just moved them over. Our LR3/LR4 can do 3 ways, which would give a fuller sound but given the height of our woofer, my 2 way does a pretty good job. As far as my amp, I bolted down over the 3rd row seatback since I...

    Audio

I think Count is referring to me as I've gone through a few different components in an effort to upgrade my HK Logic 7 stereo. The issue with our truck when considering an aftermarket upgrade is the fiber connection from the HU to the factory amp. You can't tap into the preout of the HU...

2014 Range Rover Sport - NY Autoshow Next Month

The new RR has grown on me a little too but I agree, it's a little soft. I know the common thought is that it has some Ford Explorer ques but I see the front looking more like a Taureg.

    First Oil change

Search the forum for oil change as I believe this topic came up in multiple threads in the past with the specific oil brand that our LR4 uses. There are other topics around maintenance that may be helpful to you if you're a new owner...search is a good way to start learning about this...

    Another potential owner with questions...

x 100000 The LUX seats are like sitting in a soft leather recliner as the premium leather makes a big difference compared to the HSE and Base. I have started asking for lux lr4 loaners when I take my truck in since noticing the difference.

Storing Full Size Spare - Help

Yes, a full size spare fits with no issues. I bought mine off Craigslist for $110 for the wheel and used one of my old contis when I bought my cooper zeons.

LR national rally in Colorado or Moab?

So my wife is on board with celebrating our anniversary(July 30) at a location/event of my choosing this year since she picked the last few years locations. I would like to go to Moab to camp/off road for a week but i'm wondering if going it alone is smart without another off road "buddy."...

    Electrical Issues

I have never experienced the dimming issue and I even looked for it when I initially bought my truck. I even have an aftermarket stereo installed with a high wattage amp connected to the battery. That said, I have HIDs so maybe it's not as susceptible given the extra ballast.
