The module on the glass is the rain sensor for the wipers. Also houses the light sensor for the automatic headlamps.
The other part is the automatic headlight dimming sensor.
Adaptive cruise control sensor is in the front bumper.
Chance of the valves hitting the piston is very slim.
Make sure the motor is actually locked up.
Could be a blown Mega fuse to the starter, that's keeping the motor from turning over.
