Help! My LR4 Needs a New Engine & I Need Your Input
Not everyone has the equipment and tools to install an engine. Long block; heads already installed. Short block; no heads. New engine from JLR is stripped , except for the coolant pump and oil cooler.- Rover Range

Oil "anti-drain valve" in top of engine block 5.0 LR4
In 2011 there was a service bulletin to replace the oil restrictor. It is located in the rear of the heads. Not sure if this is the part you need. LR011688.- Rover Range

Sorry, I don't have the o-ring specs. But, I do have one I can mail to you for free. Best to see if there's actually fuel in the pipes going to the charcoal cannister.- Rover Range

2011 LR4 immobilzer questions..
Change the key fob battery. The immobilizer antenna is at the bottom right of the steering column. If you're having key fob issues. Hold the key fob up against the antenna and crank the vehicle.- Rover Range

New Recall Alert : Fuel System
Part 9039 is the fuel cap. On the bottom, there's the evap vent hose that snaps onto the cap. This evap vent hose is exposed to raw fuel. Therefore, if that bottom hose o-ring is leaking, raw fuel will enter the charcoal cannister. Top left purple part is the vent hose ( arrow pointing to it) ...- Rover Range

Inside the fuel tank here's an internal evap vent hose the snaps into the bottom of the fuel cap. Then it exits the fuel cap and onto the charcoal cannister. When the fuel tank is full, this internal hose can be submerged in fuel. A pinched o-ring allows raw fuel into the hose. With a vacuum...- Rover Range

They need to look at the charcoal cannister. The fuel tank has an internal vapor hose. If the o-ring is damaged, raw fuel will get sucked into the charcoal cannister.- Rover Range

The fuel tank cap deteriorates from the ethanol fuels. This can cause the fuel line to detach from the cap. I've seen it many times. Usually from people that ignore the first signs of a fuel smell.- Rover Range
