IMO The engineers found a great balance with the LR4 exhaust system. No exposed tips that reduce departure angle and no deep growl for the sake of it, it's not what the farmer mobile is about.
I would think as an engineer you would be more interested in performance gains than sound lol. Will a cat back give you some gain? I get more than enough sound presence from my motorcycles, while in a cage I like my peace and quiet.
Maybe. The tone of a "good" exhaust adds droning on the highway and that gets old fast. Unless there is measurable performance gains it's all for "look at me" factor.
Seating position in the D5 is low too. It's just a damn awkward design. Should have kept the LR4 shape and improve the bits that needed improving but LR got greedy.
I agree with the shop. Time is money. The tech is in there and working and trying to confirm if the new part fixes the issue. To stop and then call the customer hoping that the customer answers immediately seems time wasting. I would say any total repair under $1000 should just go ahead...
Check your oil weekly? If you are very **** it is quite possible to make your own dipstick and use the suction tube. Again what is weird is huge oil loss with no warning from the idiot gauges.
I would cry too.
They sold 6398 Discovery 5s in 2017 in the US market.
In 2022: 1488
In 2023: 2416
It's a market juggernaut lol. The tribe has spoken, the 5 was a dud.
The LR4 in it's last year of production 2016: Sold 10 772 units in the US. Well Done Land Rover.
