    Some newbie questions.

Long post but here goes a list of TSBs... Again if your vehicle is CPO, all of these should have been performed if applicable prior to taking delivery of said vehicle. :-) 2005 Land Rover LR3 Recall ID from NHTSA: 06V131000 Auto Recall Date: 04/20/2006 Vehicle Component...

    Some newbie questions.

with regards to #2 my phone (iphone and blackberry) both just connect as soon as I get in and start the truck. I haven't had any issues with them asking for a request. This may be a security setting within your phone. #4 If you purchased a CPO vehicle, part of the CPO process is to check...

    Snorkel question...

Just an offshot here, but check your airfilter. LR states it should be changed at 60k, but I find it should be changed, a bit more often then that. If it's indeed dirty, that may be your culprit. Just a thought from my experience..

Love my second HSE...but bluetooth is waring me down!

I recently had the upgrade performed on my 06 D3. Works like a champ, using the iphone, it doesn't ask me to import any addresses, they just show up when I push the phone button on the center console. Ask them to check the software revision they flashed, there is actually a bad revision...

Price to replace all brakes and rotors

To have this done at my local dealer is approximately $1000-1100 generally speaking. $1,500 seems a bit high to me. You can order the parts yourself at http://www.roverparts.com/ and save yourself some cash usually.

    Chipped windshield

I chipped my windshield twice two days after I bought my D3, just had the dealer patch it for $50, and they are hardly visible

    2009's delayed?

The 09s are in port, but LR won't release them just yet. The 08 inventory numbers are too high currently. I've heard mid Oct, but I've also heard November or December as well.

1791 Navigation Hack and NEW 2008 Map Disc

Just talked to NAVTEQ, they stated Denso didn't inform them of any software updates on the latest disc. With that being said, I went straight from my original NAV DVD which was (C) 2004 to the new 08 disc. If anyone has a disc higher than the (c) 2004 disc they'd want to loan me, I can see...

1791 Navigation Hack and NEW 2008 Map Disc

In another twist, a fella on the disco3 forum reported his 08 NAV disc did indeed upgrade his software and add the new buttons and features. I'm curious what the difference between his disc and the disc I got are, if any? Anyone else running the new 08 NAV disc?

1791 Navigation Hack and NEW 2008 Map Disc

Nope, for some reason, my disc hasn't updated my GUI. Hrmm, perhaps that's why 1791 still works?

1791 Navigation Hack and NEW 2008 Map Disc

So in checking with the newest 08 NAV DVD, I can still use the 1791 hack to enter and manipulate addresses on the go. It appears, at least with the DVD I have, the hack still works..

    Winter Tires

After talking to a buddy who runs these in snow, he says they run great in snow. Ice is of course a different story, but he tells me he loved them in the snow. Again I don't run these so can't speak personally, although I'll be in the market for tires in the near future so I'm sure I'll be...

    Winter Tires

Those are the tires Land Rover equips the G4 challenge vehicles with. My brother works for GoodYear, he loves those tires. I personally haven't tried them yet, but hear great things about them.

    Tires - 255 60 R18

I currently have P285/60R-18's on my LR3 right now. The GoodYear Forterra Silent Armor versions. I haven't had any issues with rubbing or such at this point, and they did pretty well offroading. Gas mileage suffers every so slightly and of course the ride is different as is to be expected...

Wow, glad to hear you are all safe and well. The LR3 is indeed a tank!

    Tires - 255 60 R18

Correct, the Air Suspension has to be disabled, and they do "lock" the vehicle, so they can properly align the tires. Make sure you get the vehicle aligned with the tires you are going to use, otherwise you may have to get it re-aligned.

New to LR and the LR3

If you plan on keeping the vehicle past 50k, an extended warranty would be a good idea. Mainly because the cost to repair anything which may go wrong, can get costly. My dealer generally charges around $100 for oil changes if you didn't purchase the vehicle from them. I would assume, that's...

    Electronics Problem? Draining the Battery...

Just to chime in here, my 06 SE has been left several days without moving, and I've not encountered any issues. I have had the battery replaced once after it was found to be faulty (HDC Fault Errors displaying.) Definitely an interesting problem.
