So you had the letters replaced under warranty??? Which dealer if you don't mind sharing..? Recently I requested to have them replaced b/c i do not see how in 3 years the paint on each letter is wearing off.. Roof Rack Suggestions?
I've used Yakima since for years. Lately, I've got bikes, boards, and boxes up there. I'll take a photo and add post it. Solid brand overall. I'd suggest the 60" cross bars and add a fairing. Note, if the front bar is all the way forward, the sunroof will hit the fairing and possibly jam it...- goinsurfin

Which Yakima Fairing Size?
no problem, the fairing cuts down on the sound too. Before i added the fairing, i used the windjammer instead.. that $8 piece cut down on noise on my volvo V50 wagon by not the land rover... not sure why that is..- goinsurfin

it attaches to the cross bar with included clamps. at the bottom of each clamp, there are pads that touch the roof. to cover the gap between the bottom of the expedition rack and the roof, you'll have to be creative with how you mount it to the rack...- goinsurfin

I have a 44" fairing. it spreads across for complete coverage, a clean look Just note, your sunroof will touch the fairing if you have the towers all the way forward. the roof glass hits the fairing slightly. i see minor marks on the fairing from the glass touching.. not a big deal...- goinsurfin

What are the best tires for the LR3 ?
Neither, I run the 19" @ 255/55 R19 H with a load index of 111. They wear well with most of my driving on road...Sorry, but I am not versed to say which of those is better. I know other guys here can chime in on that..- goinsurfin

Windscreen Replacement
My insurance co told me that they will replace my windshield with an aftermarket unit, not OEM. They said they will only pay so much and if I want OEM, i can pay the difference. Does anyone have an aftermarket windshield and how does it differ from OEM? thanks.- goinsurfin

How are you getting 20mpg?
This is crazy... When i lived in Dallas for a year, i had no problem getting 18-20mpg on highways and 12-14 city. Now in Miami after a year, i can barely reach 15 mpg on long trips across the state, with or without a Yakima rack with fairing and thule box.. I don't get it...- goinsurfin

LR3 Mudflaps
Ever consider using the defender 90 or 110 mudflaps that have the the old LR logo? i think i'd give the LR3 a really cool- retro look. if you compare the lr3 mudflaps to the rr sport, the lr3 flaps are angled on the outer edge, the rr spt is squared off, why is that?- goinsurfin

horn bars don't wrork, no lights on steering wheel switches
Hi Ryan, I've had the same issue with the steering wheel buttons not illuminating or they blink. My horns work fine along with each button function. The blinking is something I'll have addressed the next time it goes in for service. You may also want to check if the leather on your steering...- goinsurfin

Wet Driverside In LR3!!! Need Help!!!
Yeah, 3 weeks ago i had water around puddling in the headliner around the rear dome light and down the sides near the floors. after 45k, they are finally backing up. However, the sun came out 30 minutes later and both areas dried up fast.. love the miami weather.- goinsurfin

Independent Service in Orlando area
Well here in Miami, an oil change at South Dade is $140 for oil and filter only. no inspection even though there are things to inspect.. $70 is a great price. If I'm ever in the area, I'll stop by there and have them do it..- goinsurfin

LR3 with Factory Expedition Rack - Bike Mount Solution
That sounds pretty slick. Do you have any photos with your bikes up there? I dont have the expedition roof rack but have used Yakima for over 15 yrs. I never found the hitch mount to be a good idea b/c you cannot access the cargo area with bikes mounted. It makes sense to travel with bikes...- goinsurfin

I put the ATRs on in January.. very, very quiet, great for the south Florida mountain trails, Miami commuting, ideal for hurricanes/flooding, but keep the air pressure up. just kidding, no mountains here..just the flaming everglades. Michelin Syndrome or Michelin Latitude tires
Recently added 19" Pirelli Scorpion ATRs from tirerack.com. I love them! They have a great tread patten, additional sidewall protection, and are very quiet on the road! Windshield replacement
I would be surprised to learn if LR covers the windshield due to natural occurrences but it's worth a shot... I recently discovered that when i heat my windshield, i notice that not all of the fine wires (about 1/3) heat up. This should be under warranty without a question...- goinsurfin
