2002 Disco II doesn't have the locking center diff at all. Other MYs have it but its not wired up. -
Regular or high octane?
I always use premium. I think I saw someone break it down, and its like $200 a year difference... assume fill up every week, US average difference between regular and premium is $0.23 right now, 20 gallons = $239.20. Not worth the savings to me. Potential knock, reduced power... -

I have experienced this slow response also. It seems to happen when you slow down and then want to accelerate again. Seems like the transmission wants to stay in the higher gear and not downshift soon enough. Even mashing the throttle doesn't help - its just slow to respond. Whenever I can... -

DIY is the way to go. I just installed winter blades last month from auto zone - and not a minute too soon. Several ice storms already in Chicago this year, and we're getting hammered today. Lots of use out of the heated windshield! On another related note, does anyone else have problems... -
