It is redonkulous! LRNA has us in a rental, and we have also asked for compensation. Their response was that they want to see when we get it back before they make a goodwill offer. My goal for this week is to get them to commit to making an offer even if they DK what yet.
In the meantime...
Update
Just wanted to get an update out there, because we are very frustrated with Land Rover customer service. At this point, we do not have our truck back, and have no estimated date to expect it back.
I have to say that the parts crew at the Hoffman dealership have been very helpful in...
While anything is possible, it seems that it was the front end that went first. As hard as it pulled left (then right, then left again -- I must have been yanking the steering wheel to the right), my feeling is that it was the front end that failed. The rear failing first may not have caused...
I thought you guys would interested in this. Inspect your front control arms immendiately!

I am deciding between the three tries below:
BFG AT T/A KO 265/65/18
GY Wrangler SA 265/65/18
GY Wrangler SA 265/60/18 - load rating 109
Anyone running the 265/65 size experience any rubbing? Maybe the BFGs rub and the GYs don't? I don't have the lift trickery.
I know about Mr...
I always use premium. I think I saw someone break it down, and its like $200 a year difference... assume fill up every week, US average difference between regular and premium is $0.23 right now, 20 gallons = $239.20.
Not worth the savings to me. Potential knock, reduced power...
I have experienced this slow response also. It seems to happen when you slow down and then want to accelerate again. Seems like the transmission wants to stay in the higher gear and not downshift soon enough. Even mashing the throttle doesn't help - its just slow to respond. Whenever I can...
I actually did get it and I installed it myself. Saved about $600 in labor and it only took me a total of about 2 hours. Its amazing how easy it was.
I didn't try to find it anywhere but the stealer, but it cost me about $1800 total.
The unit itself is all self-contained attached to the...
DIY is the way to go. I just installed winter blades last month from auto zone - and not a minute too soon. Several ice storms already in Chicago this year, and we're getting hammered today. Lots of use out of the heated windshield!
On another related note, does anyone else have problems...
exactly. hoping to integrate it with the LR speakers, etc. I think best way to do that is with the OEM DVD system, but I'm not sure.
Anyone with experinece here?
nice field repair. good to know its not too bad to repair if it does come off.
I'm looking to see if there's a way to prevent loosing the bumper in the first place. Maybe bully bars for the rear...?
Another question:
I bought my 05 LR3 used and it does not have the flip down DVD player. I am thinking about either having the dealer install, or buying it and installing it myself.
Has anyone installed either the LR DVD player or similar?
Just got back from doing some trail driving. Lots of ruts, ravines and creek crossings. Good fun.
However, I hit hard on my rear bumper. I was dropping down into a ditch, and the greater angle in front was fine, but the rear angle is smaller, so I caught it on the way down. I think I hit...
