    Roof rack accessories question...

Thank you for this link. I asked this the other day, getting files for the handbook from nwoods, but did not before know about this resource.

    Tire selections 19"

Thread jack - Hollywood, I saw an OEM Tier One supplier that offers its heated seat retrofit kit for the aftermarket. Nice kit, not very costly. I'll report later, but I'm installing a powered unit from the biggest OEM supplier of lumbar support kits to rectify the 2006 omission of this...

    Tire selections 19"

Hollywood, I read your interesting post. You have 19's, too, right? I actually called Vredestein and an older-sounding applications guy told me that these are winter tires when I asked about all-season use. In contrast, I have a set of Nokian WR for an Audi that specifically carries the...

Did I get a good deal?

If you got the 4/50 plus 3 more years, if that's what you describe, then you did well. That extra 3 years after the 4/50 expires is relatively costly coverage to purchase on the aftermarket for a Rover.

Did I get a good deal?

If you bought it, then just you be happy and not worry! It's a fine retail deal. Sometimes folks used to negotiate the warranty start date on such cars, depending upon whether it was actually titled back in Sept. A stock 2007 with 12000 miles sold at one of the Manheim auctions for about 12%...

Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza or Hankook Ventus AS 255/55/19

Mixed reviews on TireRack's user postings site, particularly regarding coping with light snow and wear/tread life. I have used dedicated winter wheel and tire sets for the Audis, but was going to try one (new) set of all seasons for this coming winter cycle on the HSE (gosh, winter has not even...

    Tire selections 19"

So, unless the Bridgestone rep tells my guy something different on Monday, the Dueler Alenza HL is not yet in the supply stream for 255/55/19 (none available in Michigan per one retailer today, supporting what a call to the company suggested on Friday). In that case, I'm going to experiment...

New LR3 owner, 06 HSE - intro and needy

HSE has the 19 standard. 18 would be relatively easy to get tires for. The usual 19 choices get pretty bad reviews. The probably not yet available in our 19 size Bridgestones get raves in other sizes. Sigh.

Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza or Hankook Ventus AS 255/55/19

skeptical of the Hankook, lower tier tire (I have Icebears on an Audi). Bridgestone tells me the tire is not yet in the production and supply stream, maybe 1-2 months. Shucks. I asked our tire guy to confirm. This Bridge gets very good reviews from owners of other sized fitments. I would...

research fails me: help with lug nut torque spec

I still lack an owner's manual and am buying tires. I like to hand torque my cars' lugs using my adjustable torque wrench. Can someone tell me the proper torque spec for the lug nuts? It might be in the manual, but I am not yet able to RTFM. BTW, I assume one or another standard metric...

Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza or Hankook Ventus AS 255/55/19

Do your Michelins work well in the snow, do they seem to wear well overall? I was quoted $165 or so for a Toyo today, but I lack faith in that brand for winter use. I can get Pirelli for $220 or Michelin for $240 or so, not sure which way to go. No one seems to offer me these Bridgestone or...

tv through nav, anyone try this yet?

I'm brand new at this as of today, and this is impressive and interesting to see done. Would like the backup camera option, but would be best if the whole shebang could be easily transferred to another (new) LR3 if one were to obtain one.

Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza or Hankook Ventus AS 255/55/19

These come in size and proper XL load rating, but I also see no reviews on them. Curious.

New LR3 owner, 06 HSE - intro and needy

Update - have NAV CD, still no manual. I don't know how it works here yet, but on Audiworld we often type answers in the title. I'll learn. Found the NAV CD. Take-offs means tires that someone took off, usually when the car was new, often to upgrade to a different type or size. It's a bit...

New LR3 owner, 06 HSE - intro and needy

I'm active on Audiworld's allroad forum, so I kept my name from there. This format differs greatly, so give me time to get used to it. My household will have one less Audi soon, with the LR3's arrival. Any tips on getting a NAV disc (not sure I have it, yet), owner's manual or take-off 19"...
