What should I strip off this LR3 for spare parts for my LR4?

Wheel arch trim--fender flares. Matte black is better than body color IMO.

2015 LR4 having a meltdown at random times. Related to High Speed CAN BUS. Need help!

Not a problem at all. Yes. All of the car's modules communicate along the high or low speed canbus--between each other, receiving input from various sensors, and to the various system outputs available to the driver. The auto sense sensor should be on the driver side of the mirror. The passenger...

2015 LR4 having a meltdown at random times. Related to High Speed CAN BUS. Need help!

It's been awhile since I've been in the LR4 engine bay, but here is my advice. Check the driver-side battery box. The TCM is there; and the abs and transfer case have electrical connections there. Also, that is where the main wiring harness from the engine compartment enters the cabin on its...

No. That is the waste gate adjustment screw. If you unscrew it too far, you're likely to blow something. Let me find the adjustment procedure...

2016 LR4 Coolant Crossover, Water Pump, Thermostat Replacement

If it is still being difficult, just remove the bolt and pull the sensor out. It is one of the MAP sensors. On its shaft is a small o-ring. Remove the bolt, twist it back and forth and pull it straight out. The wire lead is pretty long and, with the sensor removed, you will be able to better...

Help identifying 14-16 part (PCV hose) I broke while doing rear crossover.

Completely understand. Yes, that connector is not connected to anything electrical. But (if memory serves) only connected to the Christmas tree fastener holding it to the rear crossover bracket. It is weird that it is there, but I'm sure JLR uses this same engine harness in another application...

Help identifying 14-16 part (PCV hose) I broke while doing rear crossover.

It's LR105285. The parts diagram is worthless. I replaced it when I did my supercharger shena****ns

Has anyone done a big brake kit for their LR4? Questions below...

@TrinidadLR4 https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/brembo-calipers-and-ss-brake-lines.40362/ Here is my old thread and parts list. I do not believe that 10-13 RRS calipers will fit. The cut off is 09. The rotors are the same, but the pads are different. You also may need a small wheel spacer...

Where to tap coolant for a shower heat exchanger?

I would say only with heat is selected. Only because coolant bleeding procedure requires you to blast the rear heat as well as the front. I could be wrong though. Brain is slowly waking up

Where to tap coolant for a shower heat exchanger?

I am also a fan of running your exchanger inline with the rear heater coolant lines. Look in the passenger side frame rail, about underneath the rear passenger door. There is a section of rubber hose that couples the two metal hard pipes. If I remember right, there may be enough room to tuck...

Check engine light-low pressure fuel module

Just like @jlglr4 stated, it's hard to tell based on the info. Super swag, I would say one of the fuel sensors. Both are on the passenger side. One is on the lower cross member on the fuel line going from the fuel tank (measures fuel pressure from the low pressure pump) and the other is located...

    NGK vs Bosch Ignition coils

Was kicking myself for missing your earlier post. I don't get on very often anymore... I have found that our engine / ECM hates everything but stock coils. Admittedly, I didn't try NGK, but they were on my list. Bremi and Delphi wouldn't even run. I went OEM and it started right up. Just...

    FYI: SCV6 cylinder numbering

For rear driver side (#6 on diagram) just remove the side of the battery box and the stop/stop battery. It's much easier to get the socket in that way and buys you some space to maneuver the coil out and back in. Also good for removing the injector; if it comes to that.

Issues with Terrafirma hidden winch and SCV6

I have not seen a successful install keeping the same considerations that you raise. My recommendation would be to scratch the hidden winch mount and go ARB front bumper. It is an investment, but also crash tested and retains sensors. It also looks great

Need help identifying a cluster of wires under hood...

There should be a Christmas tree type fastener on the bottom of the connector. It just attaches to the plastic floor of the battery box. As far as the wires, no, they don't have a sheath. Just the factory tape to keep them bundled. Here are some pics with components removed to help. In the...

    Temp Sensor in Battery Box

That looks like the battery tender shipping plug. Plenty of posts about the mystery plug. The fuse holder is definitely DIY. Looks like it's just taped to the shipping plug leads.

    Free parts for locals

Anyone (relatively) local to Clarksville, TN 37040? I have a bunch of leftover LR4 parts that interchange to the SCV6 in the Discovery 5. https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/leftover-2015-lr4-parts.42929/page-3 There are prices listed, but, if you can pick up, you can have them.

    Showoff Your LR4

It's the rijidij tire carrier. Install took about two hours. You do have to cut about six holes in the stock bumper cover, and use and angle grinder to remove a portion of the passenger side's rear bumper support.

Brief engine clatter after a long trip - if not chains, what is it?

I'm not an engineer, but it sounds transmission related to me. If the sound goes away when the transmission is in neutral and in park, it would lead me to believe it is torque converter / flex plate related--decoupling the system removes the clicking; engaging the system brings it back. If my...
