Ton of faults after an aftermarket subwoofer was installed (SOLVED)

Hmmm. It depends on the install. I would explore every place they could have touched. If they installed the sub in the rear hatch, I would pull the panel and check out the other harnesses. If they pulled the center console (I'm sure they did), I would check the EPB switch and all the random...

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

Sounds more like an alignment problem to be honest. Moving to off-road height changes the geometry of the lower control arms. I bet that is what is clunking. Did you also calibrate the ride height 2.5 inches higher with the gap tool? The stock mm measurement from center of wheel to bottom of...

    Mirror turn signal not working

Absolutely the reason. Where would the new mirrors receive the turn signal "signal" if the original harness did not include it? You will have to tap into the turn signal wire (front or rear) to make it work.

Rust around rear recovery point. Is this piece replaceable?

That is part of the rear bumper support bar. It would probably be cheaper to just repaint it. I tried to quickly google for you, but could not find the actual part number. You can call one of the LR online part dealers and they could look up the number. Then, type that into google to find a...

Lr4 frame sliders / sill plate / steel bumpers

Absolutely better. Rods and gap tool just add air. The ride will harshen slightly. I loved my SYA kit. Now, a word of caution. You give and you take. The SYA kit adds 2.5 inches (and prevents oversize tires from lodging in the wheel wells) BUT you lose that 2.5 inches in downward travel. Don't...

Lr4 frame sliders / sill plate / steel bumpers

Best way to lift her is with the lucky 8 SYA kit. It comes with strut spacers and shortened rods to ensure the airbag pressure feels like stock. You also get the benefit of a 2.5 inch lift.

GAP tool is already spoken for if the new LR4 owner doesn't want it.

    Leftover 2015 LR4 Parts

As most of you know, I traded in my 2015 LR4 LUX and have quite a few leftover parts. The new owner has the first right of refusal for a couple of items, but I have annotated them appropriately below. I am located in Clarksville, TN 37040 for those that wish to pick up items, and for the larger...

    Transmission crud on pan magnets

You will also want to keep the drain pan underneath. Transmission fluid continues to drip from the mech unit once the pan is removed.

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

It was part preventative maintenance and part troubleshooting. Personally, I would replace the pump while you already have the tank dropped. It's not a huge endeavor, but I would be annoyed if I had to drop the tank twice

    GAP IID Tool capabilities

Not sure about the ICE software, but the GAP tool does allow you to update software. I don't think there is a way to check without the GAP tool. Within the app interface it shows whether or not software is up-to-date--it will say update available. If you elect to update, you pay a fee through...

    Transmission crud on pan magnets

Yep. No need to drop the crossmember. @ryanjl is referencing the 6 speed. I believe the filter neck is longer, forcing you to cut or break. When I did my pan swap on the 8 speed, I bought a hack saw blade for this purpose. But, it wasn't needed. The filter neck was short enough to fully clear...

    Transmission crud on pan magnets

You've got mostly everything you need. You will need a small socket (I think 7 or 7.5mm) to remove the heat shield bracket. I ended up using an adjustable wrench as well. One of the driver side bolts is pretty close to the frame and the ratchet will only get a turn or two before stopping. As...

    Farewell

Looks like it sold! I've already been talking to the new owner. I gave him first right of refusal on my leftover garage goodies. Anything he passes on, I'll post up in the classified section.

    Fan clutch

The new bracket does not come with foam pads. You can really use any high-temp foam padding; preferably one that has sticky tape on one side.
