    Decals???

Probably kinda late to kick in here. I don't care much for the wind shield decal idea. It's too "yo this be ma racin' team yo" looking for me. Wind shield banners are for racers and wannabe's. Don't mean to offend but you did ask for opinions. I did really like the globe decals though.

    p0171 code

Tht site looks intriguing but I can't get the sound links to work. I'll try later. I already had a good idea what the code was pointing to but was just wondering if anyone had any specific information about where to look. I sure it's a vacuum leak after the MAF. I was hoping someone had the...

    p0171 code

Hey everyone. I posted this on dweb but thought I'd better post here in case it went down. Although it has been up for about 2 days straight now! Finally got software and an interface to read fault codes on my 2000 d2. I've been getting a code since I installed my snorkel that I believe may...

Tire size options for my 96 disco

If you go to the B.F.Goodrich web site and get the specs on thier MT or AT tires. They will pop up a pdf file that gives you tire sizes and optimal wheel widths. I would think no matter what brand you get the information would transfer.

    Fun with the Sawzall...

Here's my 2000 d2 with bumper die grinder adjustments. It increases approach angle a lot while still offering some protection to the steering.

    Hello from Indiana

D Web is a good site, just never up any more. Disco2.com is another decent site (traffics kinda slow) that is specific for the d2. Mostly British members there. It's got some good technical articles if you like that stuff. Pirate4x4 has some good information but they don't like noobs and if you...

    Overheating of coolant

In order for it to overheat that fast I have to agree with you and say it's the thermostat.

    Head Gasket Question

Condensation from the exhaust is a by-product of combustion. What you describe doesn't sound like a head gasket. You will notice a sweetish smell if antifreeze is blowing out your exhaust. Check your oil for discoloration. If antifreeze is mixing with it it will appear milky and like roverchic...

    Rear Diff worries.

The d2 came with magnetic plugs. You could source those. Water in the diff will not turn the oil amber, it will look milky so it doesn't sound like that. Could be the oil was just old. Whatever weight you use, I would stick to synthetic.

    Rear Diff worries.

What year is your Disco? Some wear is to be expected in the differentials. Do you hear any gear whine? Do you have traction control? That will cause extra wear on the diffs which is a good reason to add a center diff lock if you have a d2. It'll cut down on the amount that traction control is...

    What makes one ......

Sergei, I cant agree with you more about invader Zim. Me and the kids would wait for Sunday to come so we could watch it. One of the funniest and darkest cartoons to come out in a long time. It's ashame it was replaced with stupid crap like "Chalk Zone". On an up note there are DD's available...

    Diff and Tcase service

Land Rover specifies 75W90 for diffs and transfer case, I use Mobil 1 synthetic in mine. The carpet trick is a good idea as is the kerosene pump for the t-case. It's pretty tight under there. I was able to get oil in the t-case by using a 1 1/2' piece of tube and resting the bottle on top of...

    Tire preferance

"Over Here In Perth Western Australia Our Mud Is The Same Asyour Snow I Have Never Seen Snow Here" :stupid: Mud terrains will be louder, will wear faster, and won't handle as well in the snow. You can get mud terrains siped. That will give you better handling on the road and on ice if you need...

    Hotttt!!!!!!!!!

"I think everything can be fixed with Duck Tape, bungee cords and WD40!!!" Ares, you forgot tie wraps. This board has a fixation on them.

    Tire preferance

I have the BFG AT's and like em a lot. Does it snow where you're at? Mud tires aren't the greatest in snow unless you have them siped. I have 235/85-16's on a 2000 d2.
