    OEM Roof Bars

Appreciate the info, but what I really need is that measurement if someone can get it for me. I'm very familiar with the Yakima & Thule set ups - I have about 20 years' worth of parts from both in my attic, and have a Yakima set up for my Acura.

    Memory Seats

Please let us know how you make out with this. Lack of memory seats is my only major complaint with this truck so far. I personally find it pretty lame that LR makes you step up to the lux to get this option in what is already a $50K+ truck. Even with the buttons and the module, I wonder...

    OEM Roof Bars

Does anyone have the OEM roof bars? If so, I have a quick favor to ask: I need the front to back measurement of a single bar. I just picked up a pair of the short roof rails on e-bay and installed them. Now I'm trying to decide between Yakima cross bars or OEM. I'd prefer the OEM ones, but...

    Lr4 Brakes

I know how much the truck weighs, thanks. This also isn't my first "EU" vehicle. I've had several 911s, a couple of Saabs, and even a Lotus...none of which went through brakes appreciably faster than any of the Japanese or American cars I've owned. (Although in fairness to the Lotus....I got...

    Lr4 Brakes

First off, I never said that the Ford had great brakes....I simply stated that it went 40K + miles without needing pads, all while stopping a truck that weighs considerably more than an LR4. So the argument that the LR4 "is heavy" alone is not enough to justify why they eat through brakes in...

    Lr4 Brakes

Weight of the vehicle is a BS excuse. There are plenty of heavier trucks that don't go through brakes every 12K. I owned a Ford Excursion for almost 40K miles and never put brakes on it.

New To Land Rover, HSE or HSE LUX?

We don't have the LUX package, and the one missing feature that is driving me nuts is the lack of memory seat / mirrors. I think it's crazy that on a $55K truck, this isn't a standard feature. Passive keyless entry would nice to have too, but I've never had it before, so I don't miss it.

    One beep when car locks

Do you have a 2010 or 2011? My 2011 was delivered to me the way you described - one beep for lock, and it beeps twice if someone left a door open. Two beeps for unlock as well. What's funny is the answer I got to my question. My salesman delivered the truck to my house, and when he was...

    "Owner's Day" Reviews?

Thanks for the clarification - I didn't know the difference between the owner's experience and the driving school. I thought they were one and the same.

    "Owner's Day" Reviews?

Wish I could go as well, but the closest one to me this time is about 6 hours away in VT. A few years ago, a buddy of mine went to one somewhere in NJ with his LR3 and absolutely loved it. I also noticed that this one is $250. Back when my friend went, I could have sworn it was free.

    OEM Rubber Cargo Mat

I just ordered mine from BP Utah about a week ago. Fits my 2011 perfectly. Same part numbers / description as waltzonice posted above. Same price too - $150, plus about $27 shipping to the East Coast (NJ).

    Interior/Exterior Cleaning Product recommendations

So you wax the truck every time you wash it?

Front windshield electric defroster distortion at night

I find it annoying as well at night. I already have issues with glare at night, which is why it's one of the few times when I wear my glasses. (They are a very light prescription - the anti-glare is what I really wear them for.) Personally, I think it's a pretty stupid design. Years ago, I...

    Interior/Exterior Cleaning Product recommendations

I also use Lexol leather cleaner & conditioner on my vehicles. Leatherique is also very good, but it's a pain to use, and probably overkill on a new vehicle. (They do make great products for restoring older leather though.) For glass cleaning, I use Stoner's invisible glass and some...

    Holy Crap!! He surprised me!!

Congrats on the new truck, and Happy Mother's Day. White was never my favorite color for a car or truck, however that was what my wife wanted for our LR4. Now that we have it, I'm glad she chose it - the truck looks great in that color.

New LR4 or Used Range Rover

If you can get a solid warranty on a used Range Rover for 20 bucks a month, that's a steal. The pricing I was getting for a 3 year, 60,000 total vehicle mile warranty on an '08 Sport was over $3K. The truck already had about 30k on it, so I would have gotten another 30k miles of coverage.

New LR4 or Used Range Rover

Have you priced out the extended warranty on the used Range Rover yet? We were looking at '08 Sports a couple weeks ago, and the extended warranty was more than double what it cost us on our Lexus GX, which was also 3 years old when we bought it. In the end, we decided on a new LR4 instead...

    Rubber Mat for LR4 Tailgate

Funny, I was going to ask the same question. I just ordered the cargo mat, but was a little concerned about the beige carpet still uncovered on the tailgate. Personally, I think the entire cargo area of every SUV should be rubber - regardless of how luxurious the rest of the vehicle is.

    New guy, some ???

This is my first post here, as I just got my HSE yesterday. (White) No idea on question #1. For question 2, my salesperson just told me to "take it easy, not too fast, not too slow" for the first 500 miles. He also said not to put the transmission in sport, or manual shift it. Take what...
