My LR4 is gone, the dream is dead

I understand that this is a public forum and disagreements are going to take place. But can we at least make an effort in this thread to keep things on an even keel? Thank you, Rob

My LR4 is gone, the dream is dead

Hi, Thanks for feedback. I loved my LR4 dearly, but like anything else it was not without fault. I understand that things break and need to be fixed. That wasn't my real issue. My issue was with a dealer that tried hard, but just couldn't deliver what should have been a better experience...

My LR4 is gone, the dream is dead

Hi everyone, Thanks for all the great comments. It makes me feel a little better knowing that I will be able to live vicariously through all of you. I really do appreciate the support. I'm not able to even mention the Land Rover expierience to my wife. Bless her heart, she can be...

My LR4 is gone, the dream is dead

Hi all, As this is my 500th post on the forums, I thought it was time to admit that my LR4 is no longer part of the family. It was a very difficult decision, but I traded my dream car off about 3 weeks ago. When my brother and I were in college during the late 80s I saw my first modern...

Hauling a trailer with my Discovery 4

    LR4 2011 HSE Review

This was a nice review. I remember about this time last year we had a large thread about all the great things the LR4 offered and what concerns we had moving forward. It really is about the same if you read them. The only exception being that last year, everyone was hot over the camera issue...

    Rotor Recommendations

In one of our older threads on this issue, a guy that owns an internet brake company told us about the cryo-rotors that he carries. They sound like the best and only option we have for the aftermarket. The rotors were quite expensive compared to the OEM ones you can purchase online. I suspect...

LR4 Brake Problems and LR support

I would guess that with only 10% left on the rear pads, he avoided a future trip to the dealership in a few months. I can personally tell you, taking any of my vehicles to the dealer any more than I have to is a total pain in the butt. For me, it's another source of frustration. I agree...

LR4 Brake Problems and LR support

I feel your pain brother. I'm just as dumbfounded as you are as to why a modern vehicle would have such consumption. For a brand that is trying to put to bed the gremlins of unreliability and high cost of ownership, one can only wonder why the brakes were not designed to have more durability...

    P*ss poor gas mileage

My 2005 Nissan Pathfinder which I had before the LR4 had a 4L 6cylinder that had 270 HP. It never got the same numbers as the LR4 will get on the hwy. In town it did a little better, but not by much. Rob

Weird question but i am asking

I'm one of those that cries after every little scratch or dent. It drives me nuts when people are careless. The worst door ding ever happened in my own garage. My wife opened up the door of her Lexus right into my then Nissan Pathfinder. Dings in both doors... After that, I just gave up on...

    Creaking and cracking - normal?

I had 13k miles on my LR4, there was no noise at all unless it was very cold outside. Not even gravel roads would really wake the plastic up. Rob

why the A/C keep turning off the internal circulation

Yeah, I have noticed it in my LR4 too. Not sure why it does it and the owners manual has nothing about it. Rob

    Another Good LR4 Deal?

That doesn't seem like a bad deal. I think there is a little more wiggle room in the numbers though. I would say if he can get it for somewhere in the $42-43k range it would make it a great deal. Rob

    Saw new EVOQUE tonight

I think there will be a lot of new owners in the fold as soon as they start hitting the dealerships. Peolpe that have never even considered a LR product will be the main purchasers. Rob

    21 MPG not bad

I got mileage close to that too. I did both manual calculation and the computer. They were within 2 tenths of a MPG of each other. I would easily get 19 driving on the hwy, but I figured it was mainly due to my driving style and how flat the groung is in Nebraska. The truck can do very well...
