    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

Looking like I'm going to get 4 new Bridgestone Alenzas. Look to be within manufacturer specs, have an 80,000 mile pro-rate warranty and are significantly cheaper. Heres a link...

    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

Yep, that helps a lot! I live in Houston, so snow and ice won't be an issue at all. Thats all I'm looking for is a nice fit and quiet ride on the highway. My wife loves how quiet and smooth it is on the highway and my number one priority is to maintain that. Happy Wife = Happy Life:biggrin:

    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

I'm well aware of the capability...did quite a bit of reading and youtube watching before we pulled the trigger. However...this is my wife's...so, it will be a grocery getter

    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

I'm well aware of what they are capable of. The ruggedness was a big selling point for me..but its my wifes...thus...it will be a grocery getter.

    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

Yep you're right...crappy spare is what i've got. So, would you go with the contis again (they seem awfully soft) or something else?

    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

First I need to verify if my spare matches...for some reason i dont think it does. My wife has the car so I dont know what the spare looks like. Doesn't a full size spare only come with the HD package?

    Nail in Tire...replace both tires?

As the title states, i picked up a nail and punctured the sidewall of the tire and of course its trashed (stock contis on the 19" rim) At $285 a pop, im not too thrilled. Discount is recommending I replace both the rears because with an all wheel drive, it will screw up the transfer case if...

Price for 2year Service and rear brakes

What all was done for the 2 year service? As for the pads...I think I've read somewhere on here where the rears will actually go before the fronts in some cases, so doesnt sound uncommon. $317 seems kind of steep for pads. I would consider doing them myself...sounds like a lot of folks on...

    DIY Oil Change for LR4

I'd be interested to hear the answer to this...I really don't want to have to drive to the dealer to get this reset, nor do i want to spend $500 on an IID tool

Just picked up EBC pads and rotors

RBA, did you go through the EPB process Doomsday mentioned above? This seems a little more involved than just swapping out pads and rotors.

Do the seats on a new LR4 soften a bit?

Theres a noticeable difference in the leather between the HSE and LUX. Definitely on the firmer side, but it has begun soften a little. My experience has been that you'd rather have it a little firmer from the beginning because its eventually going to soften...its nothing but foam inside the...

    Evaporator Core Cleaning

I'm guessing that picture isn't drawn to scale because i highly doubt the evaporator is that large...but nonetheless i agree that doesn't look overly convenient to get to. Usually the best way to accomplish the task is to go in through the drain hole. Sounds like no one has attempted this at...

    Evaporator Core Cleaning

I haven't either, but the fact of the matter is…there's an odor there and this isn't quite brand new. It was a dealer demo that they took delivery of in July, so it had about 3,000 miles on it. my guess is there was a lot of short trips on it, and it was in TN where it gets pretty hot...

    Evaporator Core Cleaning

Well, we've only had the LR4 a few weeks and I'm occassionally getting that musty smell out of the vents when you first fire everything up. I remeber a dealer mentioning the evaporator core being cleaned as part of their "service package" at some point. I've cleaned these on other vehicles...

    LR4 Extended Warranty Question

How long ago did you buy the warranty from Ford? I tried to get an ESP and they said they no longer can provide one for the land rovers since the companies have split.

is this something that can be reset on our own or does the dealer have to do it?

Oil and filter change (vacuum method) - Video

That did it! I had no idea you had to have the ignition off to see this. Do the LR4s have an oil life monitor that will tell you how much life is left on the oil and when it needs to be changed, or does it just alert you soley based off mileage?

Oil and filter change (vacuum method) - Video

Thanks for posting this video. I am the new owner of a 2013 LR4 and want to do as much service on my own as possible. I noticed when you went to check the oil level that you did it on the menu in the dash. I don't have this option. Is there a special way to get to it or is mine stuck in...
