Tried speed sensor with rear driver side wheel off ground. Off and on voltage as I spun wheel. That is why I want to drive while monitoring it. I wonder if at faster speeds it is going out.
Fatmcnasty thanks for the tip. Took the old ecu out and looked at all that before buying used ecu. I took several components off the board and replaced them and looked at the back as solder joints and traces resoldered some iffy spots. Could you please give me an idea as to where on the...
Abs
You need to ask if when they worked on the bearings if they retracted the abs sensors and reseated them when they were finished. That is if it is like my 95
Oops stupid me there is just one seal in the frnt and of coarse the dust cap. Now I just have to make a seal replaced tool and I should be good to go. However b4 I do I have to we about a caliper repair kit because it looks like the inboard pads are not worn at all so must mean caliper inner...
I think I want to stick with the 80/90. But I still think the inner hub seal is the main culprit. Reason being that no gear lube should be in the hub. Oil passing thru inner and outer seals and then past the axle seal I just wonder if that oil is pulling the grease off my wheel bearings. Like...
I have thought about the circuit not being grounded completely as well as once and a while the lamps for the heater cntrls will go out. I did check what I thought mite be a be grnd in the pass sd foot well along with a few others as the diode that should have batt has a little less like 11.6...
Cruise
The part of the test that I put battery pwr to the ecu makes the cruise pump work and does pull the diaphram back all the way. First thing I thought of was the vacuum when the cruise initially stopped wrking that and the brake switch. Like I say it passed all of the test. I really...
Pressure
I keep my tires at 35 a little high for highway. 25 psi for the rocks i've been climbing thru lately. I never cared much for the michlins on my 95 discovery using nokian vactivas love em. My manual stated 28 psi frnt, and 38 psi rear normal all load conditions
Okay is it my module. I have the electric manual for my 95 discovery and I have ran thru all of the trouble it points to the module every time. I got a used mod because they do not make new ones. The one from the junk yard did not work at first. After one 4mile trip it started to work...
Oil leak spindle housing
I'm still using 80 90 lube in my spindle housings because I like the ability of draining the housings in the event of water wadding. Call me sceptical but the idea of grease in the housings tends to bother me from an engineering attitude. The oil is being flung out...
Oil leaking out of hub from spindle housing purchased new rotors and kit. Didn't include new inner grease seal for front hub. Would someone please tell me if just replacing the outer seal is going to do much good? Kit came with rear in and outer seals. 95 discovery 130000 miles of good...
I sure wish them well and well they would be if they would only build a vehicle and import to the states that is a defender styled vehicle. O excuse me we in the states cannot have simple and reliable vehicles.
