Hi this my frist time posting anything, my question is i have a 99 Land Rover discovery SD. Do you know about the anti lock system? I took my rover to get rear bearings put on,and when i pick the car up the tech. told me my anti lock light is on. They did not no why, im thinking they might of up set the abs sensor.I'm not having any problems with the brakes, but when i press the brakes they feel like they are pulling sometimes. Any suggestions. Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!

Abs

You need to ask if when they worked on the bearings if they retracted the abs sensors and reseated them when they were finished. That is if it is like my 95

The ABS light always comes on and stays on till you reach around 5 mph unless something is wrong.

Hi Joey,

Something is wrong because it stays on all of time....it doesn't give me any problems. Will i have any problems with the ABS if i don't address this issue down the road? I trusted a certain mechanic who did service for us before on our Land Rover....he put new barrons on the rear, then when i picked it up he informed me the ABS light was on. I think he might have upset the ABS sensor when he put back on my brakes. If you find out anymore info about my issue please email me back ASAP....thank-you

Best,

You can re-seat the sensors and/or clean them... Personally I am not a fan of the ABS in a Rover... at least not a D1 so I have disabled mine.
