Disco 3 rear upper lock

Hi all
Had to replace the upper lock / latch on my landrover discovery 3 tailgate , this now works and locks etc . However now when I lock the car the internal lights stay on and the car horn sounds once .
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Make sure the electrical connector on the latch is securely seated.
Also, may need to be adjusted.
Try leaving the upper hatch open and manually latching the latch. See if the alarm arms.
