    Who has powder coated rims?

I have a Zambezi silver LR3 and like the look of the black powder coated rims. for those of you that have them or have seen them, what is your impression of longevity? Do they scratch easy, if so can they be touched up? Thanks in advance,

    No More Goodyears!!

As far as the alignment is concerned, are there specific tolerances? Can any tire shop do the work or must I go to the dealer? Thanks in advance

    Making the LR3 trail ready

For the guys who have powder coated rims. How do they stand up (finish-wise) on/offroad? What did you pay to get it done? Would you do anything differently? Thanks!

    A bit of Mud

Nice! Love the rims et al, however, have you had any problems with the coating coming off the rims?

    replaced bushing @ 28000

It might seem early, but based on my short following of the forum this a common problem in the LR3. Honestly, nothing is ever to early to fail on a LR. Read some of the the other forums and you'll see failures at all different miles. Just "luck" I guess.

    replaced bushing @ 28000

How do you know (other than having the dealer check them) if they need to be replaced?

    What's the "Landrover" button for?

Yep, that button can do almost anything you want it to. It can lower your truck to access height, turn your headlights on, activate the panic feature of your alarm, pop your rear hatch there may be more but these seems to be the most popular.

    why replace rotors often

Can LR3 rotor be turned? I had an 01 RR and was told that LR rotors can not be turned because they come "min spec" from the manfacturer.

HDC Fault, NAV Memory and Battery Lifespan

KW, I had similar issues, although I do not have factory NAV. I first noticed the problem when the weather here in Arkansas turned cold, which I doubt that one had to do with the other. However, the problems manifested on the first start of the day or if the temp was 32f or below. If I...

    MT/R 19 finally here??

How did you know that your tie rods needed to be replaced? Just curious. Also, it sounds like you'd reccomend an AT tire over an MT? Is that just based on an overall driveability? I'm thinking of new tires and like everyone else looking for the correct direction.

    LR3 questions

You could always get a carfax to see what the in-service date was or call LRNA to get the recall history (if they will release it to you).

    The 2009 LR3

Amen! Although LR may not have the working capitol to action a "2-line" system, which may be why LR accessories are so expensive vs. Ford, GM and Dodge products.

    Condensation?

I've had this problem on other vehicles (02 Dodge 1/2 ton 4x4 sport). All I did was remove the bucket from the vehicle. Then took the lights and any associated eletrical parts off and dunked the headlight bucket in my sink to see where the leak was coming from. After id-ing where the leak was...

    Sunroof Arms

Checked mine as well, called the dealer and was told that more than likely the entire sunroof would need to be replaced b/c they no longer service just the arms... Thanks for the heads-up!

Rear Seat DVD Installation (/w Pics)

Nice job, and thanks for posting the work-through. I'll be looking to add some "kid friendly" items here in the near future as my toy will have to evolve into something more family-like.

    LR3 Extended Warranties? 2005 LR3 HSE

ohyeahhh, I recently purchased the Ford brand ESP Premium Care plan. It is an "exclusionary" plan, just like the LR factory plan (except better imho). I bought the 4 year/48K for $2600. This warranty covers everything (except interior trim pieces like leather seats and squeaking plastic)...

    The 2009 LR3

It looks like a smaller RRS with all the color matched parts. It almost seems like LR is trying to take the LR3 in a more civilized direction... I like the black plastic parts, just wish they didn't fade so easily.

Ford ESP Warranty now available for all LR3s still under warranty

I spoke to my service rep who has dealt with the Ford ESP warranty on several ocassions, to include the air susupension. She said Ford has never denied a claim on any single covered part, including the air bladders. I took it one step further and asked the Mercury side of my dealership's...

    Loaner car?

My LR3 was in the shop for a total of 22 days for a plethora of electrical problems. Not only did I not get a rental car, but my son also had his PSP stolen from the third row cubby box. Sad thing is that I realized my son left it in the back and called my service advisor the next business day...

    Steering Wheel Peeling

Yep mine looked just like that, and felt much like you described. I tried to get my LR service rep to give me the TSB #, however, she said she is not able to give out such information (how customer oriented is that?). She did say that all she does to get interior pieces covered by LRNA is take...

    Problems With the LR3

Minor issues I have an 05 SE7 with 41K miles, here are some of the issues I've had. - Auto function of xenon lights not working (fixed under warranty) - Rain sensing windshield inop (fixed under warranty) - Steering wheel coming apart (fixed under warranty) - Sunroof inop (currently in...

    Steering Wheel Peeling

I just had mine replaced under warranty. I simply said that if I leave my hand in one place for too long little pieces of it come off in my hand. The service rep said she would see if LR would replace it, and they did. Although they wouldn't replace an armrest where the stitching had come...
