On my LR3 @ 70K I hear a knocking sound on speed bumps, dirt tracks, and when the brake pedal jabbed quickly. Also noticed while in high speeds applying brakes will wobble the steering wheel a little. Not sure if that is related to the first symptom. Anyway I was looking for a DIY and parts... -

Battery voltages
Do you mean it goes to Access Mode Suspension level or just is a bit lower in Normal Suspension mode? Land Rovers self-adjust their level while parked and may lower a bit in the process at all times. It's a "feature". Everytime I park my car in the driveway, lock and wait for a minute or so... -

Hill descent has it's purpose, not a mistake. Let it engage where it needs to or turn it if you feel like controlling the rig ;) -

Yes, do a battery check first. And yes the long stays can drain the batteries on used cars at dealerships. Check the battery, charge it or better yet just change it - it won't hurt ;) And welcome to LR world! -

You can start a new DIY project with an extra battery, install it on the driver side and wire it up. There are some posts about that mentioning yellow top traxide stuff. Oh wait the normal battery is not gonna fit there? Hmmm... -

I am thinking of changing rotors and brake pads on my LR3. Found some great rotor and pads kit deals on eBay for all wheels. Now the question is what kind should I get? I do like the looks of slotted and drilled rotors for sure, but am not sure if that's the right choice? I am looking for... -

Keep us posted. Having a new battery doesn't hurt actually ;) My Bimmers experience short drives usually (less than 4 miles a day) and are always parked pretty much. I don't do trickle charge, which I think I should. Maybe that's why they drain faster than usual, but they do drain for sure... -

The HAM Antenna I am using is pretty flexible actually and doesn't require a spring mount. I took it through bushes once and it flexed nicely without damaging it. Added a spring base for CB Antenna now as it was too rigid. Got a nice one that doesn't flop around on highway speeds but flexes well... -
