    Coolant pipe failure (SCV6)

Boy, so much depends on what happened between when the coolant was lost and when you shut down the engine, it is really hard to say. There is not really any harm I can see in trying to fix the immediate problem, correctly refill with coolant, and try to run it. If correcting the immediate...

    Lifted suspension/calibration issue

The system seems to work fine overall, provided it is calibrated. I just wonder what threw off the calibration. I do think that it would make more sense to calibrate all three ride heights to better allow for sensor variance. PS - how do you use the IID tool to enter “precision mode” or...

    Lifted suspension/calibration issue

I installed the SYA kit and Rhino rods on my 2016 HD not too long ago, and calibrated everything using my IID tool. Everything seemed to go smoothly and all functions seemed to work. I could lower to access height and raise to offroad height. At a camp spot over the weekend, I decided to see if...

    Air strut gone bad?

If you can make it leak without the engine running, use a stethoscope to help isolate where the leak is coming from. Check out this thread, which outlines a good way to narrow down which component may be leaking.

SYA Kit, Oversize Tires and Stability Control

I doubt your tires are your issue unless they are inflated wrong. I have 275/70R18s and don’t have the issues you describe.

    Air strut gone bad?

If it was raising before the SYA kit but not after, my bet would be on a leaky connection. I know you checked, but…pretty coincidental. Other possibility might be a cracked hose, but more likely a leaky connection. Happy hunting!

    MPG Decline Over Time

I did a quick google search but didn't turn up anything: I wonder what is a "normal" loss in MPG for a vehicle correlated with odometer reading? To the OP, great data capture!

Foam mats on either side of engine

When I replaced the coolant components on my engine, I pulled those ugly foam mats off the side of the engine. It seems like a great way to heat up electronic components that would prefer to be cooler. I can't say that I notice a huge difference in noise, either. Anyone else get rid of these?

    Gas Leak at Tank

Is there no secondary fuel filter? Just the one in the tank?

    Offroad performance test

Took my 2016 HD HSE (named Clarkson) for a weekend trip to the Oregon coast this weekend. Very comfortable! On the way back, we stopped in at the Tillamook State Forest OHV area and ran a blue trail called Hoodraiser. Not a super difficult trail, but it's very muddy up there right now. The new...

    Alarm system eyeroll

OK, I guess I can see that, but...the alarm part? If the doors are locked, nobody is getting in without causing a ruckus Mom would notice anyway. Anyway, gripe over...nothing to see here.

    Alarm system eyeroll

Opened up the back gate to rearrange some cargo and fold up the middle row of seats. Since I was in the middle row of seats after all that, it seemed pretty natural to go out one of the rear doors instead of climbing over the back seat to get out the same way I came in. BEEP BEEP BEEEEEP...

Rear Crossover (Heater Manifold) failure mode?

I really wonder if there is an incompatibility issue between the O-rings and the plastic. Mine were fine, but the way some of those failures look, it's as if the O-rings have leached the plasticizer out of the plastic and caused the failure of both the rubber and the plastic.

    Tailgate weight rating

Wow! What part of the tailgate seems to be bending? If the static load rating is on the order of 500lbs., I wouldn't expect a couple hundred pounds of mildly dynamic loading to matter.

    Intro! Firenze in HD

That's pretty nice. Heck, I'd be happier with a rubber mat that actually had enough give/stickiness to it that cargo didn't slide around on it. I think the one I have is just vinyl with ridges.

Rear Crossover (Heater Manifold) failure mode?

Oil in the intake seems to be pretty normal, and given the PCV issues caused in some other vehicles, it actually seemed pretty light to me on my 47k engine.

    Suspension tuning

Thinking/spitballing aloud: Cornering hard wears outside of tires more. I have no idea how MUCH more wear you're describing. Alignment wasn't done right, so you're still not aligned. Try another shop? Measuring wear wrong or imprecisely - you said "still having the issue" but I don't know how...

    Resting current draw on battery

I did some experiments on my vehicle and hope that the data might help others out. I suspect that my issue was only that I had the hood open for repairs, and that won't allow the vehicle to shut down properly. I disconnected the hood sensor and shorted it out, and then measured the current flow...

Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

That SC tops out at 2.5x inlet pressure, from what I can tell. At sea level, that means it's capable of producing 36PSI. Does this thing have a wastegate? At 11,000', that would drop to 2.5x9.7, so still 24PSI max. But you'd have to rev higher to see the same boost, obviously. Or change pulleys...

Does low range automatically engage center lock?

I was trying to hook up to a trailer over the weekend, reversing up an incline. The unpredictable throttle response tied with the slop in the transmission made it pretty tough to go slowly. I kept wanting to switch the transfer case into low range just for the gearing, but worried that it would...

Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

Thank you, @Fuji4. I confess I don't know how to read that map, honestly. And I didn't know there was an existing electric auxiliary pump as part of the stock plumbing. I gather that this pump was only part of your overall upgrade, which included changing the pulley ratios for the SC, as well...

Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

This is more of a theoretical question than anything, but...the intercoolers on this LR4 puzzle me to begin with, and I'm curious what this electric pump gains you over stock, @Fuji4 ? I don't know how much boost these engines actually are getting from the supercharger, but if it's in the...

Rear Crossover (Heater Manifold) failure mode?

I would be sure to use all 4 of the bleed ports. If you only use the highest one, you risk missing a pocket of air in one of the other loops. They put in more than one for a reason.
