Definitely the aluminum but I’m not sure if it’s available for the non sc engine. They are different from what i understand. You could poke around on the LR4 pages as they have the na engine too and there has been talk of whether the aftermarket aluminum pipes are available and any good or not...- alldazed

I have a 2011 rrs sc. I bought it used 4 years ago and got its full service history by asking the dealer. It had 145,000 km / 90,000 miles on at the time and had been through 3 water pumps by then. I drove it for a year and started losing coolant so I did it myself with a $153cad one from rock...- alldazed

LR320 moving metal parts by the spare tire
Let me know what you end up doing about it in case I ever get to that point . As it is I may have to lift the rear of the body up to replace the ACE active sway bar fitted to the rrs as it is seeping fluid. In which case I would replace those bushings at the same time regardless of what it is... -

Bleeder screw top blew off
If it’s plastic which I think it is you can heat up a straight screwdriver blade and push it in carefully as it will want to melt straight through and then screw it out. I’ve done this on a broken plastic sensor in a metal hot tub heater with great success. -

I couldn’t source the aftermarket gasket which I had also read about. I used the papery / cardboardy one that came with the AB kit and used the adhesive/sealant as used in the AB video. You likely need it anyway as the adhesive holds the gasket in place very firmly which is useful. Very... -

I have a 2011 sport. I just checked mine. That same wire is also there and not connected to anything . I think it is supposed to be like that. Must be for an option I assume. Was it running rough before the battery change ?- alldazed

What small ish problems do you have with it . I have the RRS SC. A 2011 I’ve had for 4 years. It had the timing chain/tensioner repair by the previous original owner. It’s been pretty good, had to do a water pump and some other minor things and keeping up with the maintenance, diffs and transfer...- alldazed

Lug Nuts Will Not Budge
If you plan on removing wheels often or changing over seasonally a decent quality cordless impact gun is a good investment. About $2-300 for a half inch drive Mikwaukee or dewalt . There is 1150 ft lb of undoing torque on the Milwaukee so be careful putting nuts back on if you go that route and... -

Do you have another bar you can slide over that one to provide more leverage? When you get the nuts off you may find the wheel hard to get off still as they can corrode to the centre of the hub. I got the EMplus. TBH I didn’t realize the other one existed. At the time I had trouble finding the plus so just got it. I use it in a ‘11 rrsc and monitor coolant temp, batt voltage, sc intake temp and boost level etc. You can set an alarm for high coolant temp etc and oil change interval too. -

If you want some more peace of mind install an ‘Ultraguage’ . It plugs into the obd outlet and sits neatly on the dash . What kind of leak is this?
Theoretically if it was tranny fluid it would be a shade of grey / clearer as factory fill is zf lifeguard. If it’s genuine lr coolant I believe a black light will react with it but purely as a guess it could be rear crossover pipe leaking as the source if it is coolant . How’s the coolant level ? -
