DTC P026A / Intercooler outlet temp / Aux pump / Velocity AP

FWIW I have a ‘11 rrssc. I have an ultra gauge fitted that monitors supercharger intake temp. On recent warm days about 30c and pretty low altitude- Lake Ontario level the sc intake temp is typically about 70-80 c engine temp below 90c. This is over a pretty good distance > 100miles with one...

    Air Suspension Performance

The land rovers are just a cruel and unusual punishment that we inflict upon ourselves. You maintain it, baby it , feed it the best fuel money can buy , change the fluids etc and what does it do ? Something unrelated now wants attention. In my case the rear active roll bar - RRS - has started...

    Air Suspension Performance

If you want some light bedtime reading take a look at the maintenance schedule in the owners guide and check you are truly up to date. Diff fluids, transfer case fluid, transmission service etc. Flexible brake lines get a mention too . Then you can lie awake thinking about it . Lol.

    Mechatronic Replacement

There’s a video on roverparts explaining it along with transmission service. I recently did it on a ‘11 rrsc but video says same for lr4. You have to remove trans pan to access securing latch for mechatronic sleeve. It is very tight but I did it on ramps lying on my back. A boroscope camera is...

2013 to 2014 Face Lift Headlight Install

I’ve had the radio issue several times in three years along with a crackling but no radio once . It’s the logic 7 system in a 2011 RRS . First time was in the early days of ownership when I would freak out and get stressed over anything out of the norm. Now I just find a Tim’s or Mac Donald’s ...

    Help to decide

I’m not sure where you take it for work but sounds like you have spent ALOT of money on it. I see you are in Toronto. I have heard good things about Westminster motors in North York. I haven’t been there personally as I do my own work but they have been mentioned on this forum and and I have...

If you went to therapy as you mentioned elsewhere they’d probably suggest a support group anyway, so here we all are.

Looking at LRs at around 100'000 miles - I'm planing to change the following....

What engine/engine choices are there in the UK ? I’m assuming different from N. America ?

    lr4 fan clutch thread direction

How big is your compressor for the air hammer. My 1 gallon one won’t do it. I need the grunt of the 30 gallon but probably something in between will do probably.

    Maiden Voyage (Boat Sunk)

Are there any off roading clubs in your area ? There is one in my area - far from you - they are having their first meet of the year in two weeks aimed at newbies in stock vehicles. Not Land Rover specific. At least there are people to help out and it’s not going to be too crazy. Might be worth...

At my wits' end: Intake/Exhaust Valve Control Solenoids "Stuck Open"

I have a 2011 rrssc. FWIW I have had the same misfire fault codes but no CEL light . I have cleared them and sometimes they have come back and sometimes they have stayed away as they have now for over a year. No drivability issue as you describe. However I have gone to start it after it has sat...

    Coolant system part help!

That plastic part of the pipe pushes into the brass fitting you see on the water pump. To disconnect it you have to push ******* the brass fitting/collar with a screwdriver against the water pump and pull out on the plastic pipe to release it. If you can pull it out a little you can use...

    2011 LR4 Honeymoon - Day 1

I installed the wiring on my 2011 Range Rover sport sc. I was in the same position as you. Hitch assembly there and that was it. Got the plug and play wiring from AB along with the brake controller. Took me about 3 hours but I think the lr4 is easier. I had to remove back bumper and driver side...

    2011 LR4 Honeymoon - Day 1

There’s no factory installed actuator. It’s a simple plug and play addition though. Plug in is under steering column. Curt makes the plug and play wiring harness and and the brake controller.

    2011 LR4 Honeymoon - Day 1

Atlantic British has the correct plug and play trailer wiring harness along with a plug and play trailer brake controller. They also have the removable factory receiver that slots into the assembly you see at the back. You can also find them used and are rebuldable- video and kit on powerful uk.

    Long crank, no faults

Did you recheck that 419f external temp reading you had ? I think it was warm when you read it initially and you were going to check at cold. The other thing I think you mentioned way back in the thread was a fuel system cleaner. I was thinking more of one that would specifically absorb moisture...

    Engine Conversion to reduce emissions

There are a couple of Italian companies offering conversion kits for diesel to either cng or lpg that lower emissions. They still use some diesel otherwise you need a complete conversion . See link below to one of them https://www.autogasitalia.it/en/retrofit/metano-diesel/

    Long crank, no faults

I’m not 100% but I think the MAF sensors mounted on the air filter housing measure ambient temperature as well as air flow. Sometimes they need to be cleaned carefully with a maf spray product.

    Long crank, no faults

I’ve been following this along with interest from the beginning. One thought is whether it using the ambient air temperature sensor to figure out fuel mixture required. About the time your issues started I had two longer crank incidents. I had also noticed the ambient air temp was way off a few...

    Low Coolant Light

I have a 2011 sc in a rrs. There is another bleeder valve on the passenger side towards the rear of the engine bay that I’m pretty sure comes from the heater core. I had a pretty big airlock in there from when I changed the water pump. There is a video on Atlantic British website that explains...

Just a bit off topic - Austin Marina

I can’t help you date it but I remember them well as I grew up in the uk . There are usually a handful at British car day in Oakville, Ontario, Canada .They always bring back nostalgic memories when I see them as your post did this morning. Not sure if you are a top gear / Jeremy Clarkson fan...

    Rear pass. Door issue

Been having a similar problem on a 2011 RRS on rear left door. I scanned it and it shows a fault with rear left door central locking motor. I assume this is LR speak for the actuator and will change it at some point in the future when warmer weather is here.
