2012 LR4 at Cost—anyone get a deal on their 2012?
was at my dealer and they did mention that inventory nationwide was low on land rover products, they were getting calls everyday wanting other dealers to trade for there models -

a-pillar trim blew off in high winds
no idea on part number.....the clips are relatively cheap, i would recommend replacing clips on both sides, you might be able to get it done under warranty, at least for the damaged part.....the new clips are yellow and much stronger..... -

went wheeling this weekend on my scorpion atr, and they did remarkably well, can i ask how much the comp motive wheels were including shipping and all charges ?? and how long was the shipping time ?? I have the inside track on a set of the 19" goodyear mtrs, but if i had 18" wheels, opens up... -

conti will prob be tolerable, but not confidence inspiring at all.....i live in the south, so about to go with scorpion atr, but for you i think nokian wrgr2 which is marketed in the us as a all season winter tire would be the best you could get... -

new 19" tire from cooper
noticed they have removed that tire size from their usa web site.......not looking good.... I went ahead and ordered a set of the scorpion atr, anyone interested in buying my stock conti 4x4 contact tires with about 12k miles, tread still looks pretty good ?? my local dealer is sponsoring... -

LR4 Radio keeps going out!
just do a reset...remove the battery negative cable for a couple minutes......no radio software updates since 12/2010, per my dealer today...... -

found on another thread and going to cooper tire web site, looks like a 255/55/19 all terrain tire is coming, looks really good in photos..... its the zeon ltz was interested in the scorpion atr, but this tire looks a bit more aggressive..... -

What more aggressive tires
i am planning to go with the nokian wrg2...complaints of flat spots on the pirellis scare me a little, scorpion atr might be a bit more aggresive offroad, but nokian i think will be much better on wet roads, esp any snow conditions, and has a good tread pattern, so it should be more helpful for... -

another 1500ish miles, and no check engine light.......so feeling pretty confident it is now fixed.....finally got a good response from land rover corporate....apparently can't give the details due to a confidentiallity agreement, but they made me a good offer for my trouble, so I have decided... -

LR4 Starting Problem
you have had only this one problem, and how many repair attempts ?? and how many days in the shop ?? what have they done or said exactly is the problem ?? most lemon law require 4 repair attempts, or over 30 days out of service.....land rover corporate can do a buy back, the dealer cannot... -

Will I miss the locking differential?
yep, i need to get a full size spare, but nothing on the web seems trustworthy, and it would also need a tpms, and maybe some programming for it to see the tpsm sensor, in case you ever did actually need it as a spare...... -

Lr4 Brakes
I was told about 600 for front rotors and pads only.....buybrakes.com posted on here before and had some good rotor options and was working on some different pads...... There is a tsb for the range rovers For brake pulsing , that calls for new rotor which is tougher than the original and pad... -

they are large rotors, and soft pads, to not squeel and give you the good stopping distance.......there is an updated rotor that is a little tougher............might consider getting a cryo dipped aftermarket rotor......... -

another thing is the lr4 is rear weight biased, thats why you need higher air pressure in rear vs front tires............most cars are other way around, this does lend itself to better rear wheel traction -

i hear ya, but i have gone up some steep washed out climbs, in rock mode and no wheel slip whatsoever, without locking rear diff, remember, if the center diff is locked, no one rear wheel can spin without the front wheels spinning.........i could def see my center diff locking on the climb, and... -

Order new LR4, Wait or Compromise?
unless your planning to remove the factory tires, and search the globe for some goodyear mtr 255/55/19 tires, doubt the hd package would make much difference...by dropping it you open up your options dramatically
