denali has all power to the rear until wheel slip, as does the x5 and not sure on the toureg ,but i think it is almost all rear as well....... press land rover to let you talk to an engineer and let us know what they say ..... -

two winter tires for LR4!!
how would this tire fare for someone living in the southern us, Arkansas ? we get occasional ice and snow......sure is nice to have traction for these times of year, but not sure if a "winter tire" is really best for down here...... -

a snow rated tire will always do better in that application than not......my previous jeep had goodyear fortera hl and the usual slick spots aren't as slick in my lr4.....some of it could be vehicle and weight, but def seems like these conti's don't break traction as fast on a hard corner as my... -

it sounds like torque steer is what you are feeling.....all front wheel drive vehicles have this to a degree..... most fwd don't have near the torque the lr4 has.......i don't know the front/rear power split on the lr4, but prob atleast 60/40 or less....... i would try and escalate it to a... -

just got 2011 LR4 with lux
i read the tsb, and it is only recommended if this particular fault code is found when the check engine light comes on -

in case anybody is wondering, there is a tsb out on this issue, released 12/22...it requires replaceing some type of oil seperator solenoid in the engine.....and 12 hours of labor cost under warranty......my dealer has to order parts one week to arrive, and a tool to do the job 2 weeks to... -

Have you driven it in 4 lo on some slick surfaces , spinning the differntials around a bit, also to make sure the center diff is transferring good torque to the rear. Does the behavior change with dsc off Whatvabout a bad front cv joint -

just got 2011 LR4 with lux
just got 2011 LR4 with lux with check engine light this is my first land rover , coming from jeep.....the truck rides great, love the driving position and visibility.......but as I feared at mile 700 check engine light.......I so hope this a fluke and not a glimpse of things to come.... code... -
