That is what was in the Sport I drove. Similar to what is in my wife's X-5. It is not a problem to use, just takes a bit of getting used to. -

Since they stayed with a "normal" shifter in the new Range Rover Sport in the US, I am just guessing they would keep it for the LR4 too for '14. -

I rolled the dice and am taking a chance that the V8 will still be here for '14. There is nothing wrong with my '11 and the only '13's available around here are either Black or White. I was hoping to order a 14 for spring delivery. -

Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires are discontinued.
That is odd. I was out at the end of last week getting a few quotes on replacing the tires on my '11 that has 41k miles. The ATR is one they quoted. I figured I would wait a month or so before I pull the trigger. -

Just for grins: A few different LUXs. Which one?
I get so upset with the three dealers around here. Unless you want White or Black you are going to have to order a vehicle and both of those colors are non-starters for me. Tire selection for 19" rim?
I have 40k on the Conti's on my 11'. I don't require any off road capability but would like something better for snow and a bit quieter. You suggested the Pirelli ATR. Would the Pirelli Scorpion Verde be an option? -

2014 Range Rover Sport Final Spy Shot!
Looks pretty good to me. My issue is that with my back and neck issues the Sport has been a bit hard for ingress/egress. The LR4 works better for me even though I would prefer to go without the 3rd row and get ventilated seating. -

The reason that Mercedes is able to offer larger engines is that their CAFE numbers include much smaller vehicles to offset the small number of heavyweights like the GL450 and 550. Land Rover does't get the benefits of averaging in smaller cars when their sales are heavily geared to the LR4 and... -

New Tires
This is a good thread and I hope others will update in the future. I have almost 31k on my original tires and looking at the tread depth they should easily make it thru the winter. Next time I will be looking for something that is a bit quieter and that handles a bit better in light snow. Jim -

If you get your wishes then I hope they make two different vehicles because that is not the vehicle I desire. The LR4 needs some updating like loosing some of the current vehicles weight, don't force us to purchase a third row seat, upgrade the interior and get the Nav system up to date. -

2 year service completed
I recently had my two year service attended to. With 29K miles on the car there were no issue with brakes or tires yet. The price was a bit higher than what you incurred. Oil change , tire rotation, change pollen, air filters and replace all three wiper blades cost me just over $800. -

question about climate control temp
I disagree. My wife has her side (passenger) always set at least 2-4 degrees warmer than mine. I would never have it set over 70, too warm. -

Stating Issues
I wonder if anyone else has run into the issue where your vehicle will not recognize the key and nothing happens when you push the starter button. This is not the issue where you get the message key not found message in the display and you just have to place the key-fob beneath the steering...
