    I am not against using a reputable mechanic in lieu of the dealership, but remember they must find one with the equipment and parts. There is no drain plug on a LR4 and finding wiper blades that fit LR's, BMW's and Audi's id difficult at NAPA.

    I sure would like to know what your issues are. I would like to know what to look out for. I have owned my '11 for seventeen months and my only issue was with the price they charged for wiper blade replacements at the one year service.

    Nav on the go does not work with my early 2011 LR4.

    Do all the 2K12 LR4s have nav in motion?

    I cannot enter an address into my early 2011 while the vehicle is in motion. There must have been a lot of running changes on these vehicle. Mine came with voice control but the inability to enter a destination while moving. Crazy.

    I like the look of those wheels on the Ipanema Sand, which is the color of my 2011. I wish I had ordered the ebony interior, the light seats just absorb too much color from jeans.

    iPhone IOS 5 WARNING

    I don't know what issue you are having but as I stated mine works fine. It loads my tunes, they all show up in the display, I pick and choose from the touch screen. IOS 5 and the 4S work just as the older version and phone.

    Voice control was included during the initial run of 2011's (mine has it). It was removed early in the production run.

    Potential buyer - leather stain question

    I have had my '11 LR4 for a year now and am constantly cleaning the "jeans" stains of the Tan seats. I should have waited to get a dark interior. I even had the dealer perform it the first time after less than 45 days.

    Failed to start @!@

    I have had the Smart Key Not Found on a few occasions. Usually I just have to place the key under the steering column and the issue resolves itself. Once I did have to get out of the vehicle and get back in.

    New Owner Questions

    I don't have my manual in front of me right now but if I remember correctly you have to run the engine for about 5 minutes, then open the hood before it will show up on the screen in the center of the dash. Make sure you read the sequence correctly. Jim
