I got the ram mount for mounting an ipad pro 9". I used Ram mount double suction mount to windshield, kinda blocks the hood some even as low as possible, and a cradle for the ipad and a 1,5" arm. It's super solid.
Go to HF and get yourself their long reach low pro jack: https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack-stands/floor-jacks/3-ton-long-reach-low-profile-professional-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-orange-64241.html
Put it in whatever mode you like; either way you need to jack her up till you...
Having done it, and now with the hack, what's your thinking on if this could be done in the field on a prolonged excursion should a compressor fail and you're carrying a spare? Sounds like it could be fairly possible, maybe a half day, but won't be stranded if out in the desert for example.
It could have been a unicorn if it had HD. Doesn’t appear to, but fascinating it was probably a wealthy-ish owners second home car for putzing around Palm Springs.
This will be interesting to see what it gavels at. Same mileage as me, but the location probably plays a big factor is sale price. Not sure what the "overland" or off-road scene in PA is. Y'all run amok through Amish country or? Anyways, it will be fun to see sales price...
I ran Terras in my 322. It’s more of a highway light off-road tire and for the LR4 I wanted to to get into some gnarlier terrain so just stepped up a notch in their range. I was really happy with Terras too. The Ridges have been prettt great off-road. But still don’t cut it in sloppy mud.
You could also jump on the pizza cutter bandwagon and go skinny but taller profile. There was a comprehensive post on it a week or so ago. I run compos with ridge grapplers at 265/65. They’ve been pretty awesome across lots of different terrain. Snow runs down to 15psi. But I may try the pizzas...
Bingo. I bet that's it. How unfortunate. I swear, aside from the delay during pandemic, I had a positive experience wit their customer service and have never hesitated to recommend the rack given its solid construction.
Woah. The rack mounting position at the front definitely looks different from the directions vs. your pics. Unless it's the angle of the picture. Hopefully they make it right and you find resolution.
I get it. Me too. With this fuller picture I certainly can appreciate the frustration. Getting the mounting positions welded in the wrong location seems sort of insane. The online directions only offer the half rack install version, which is a bit more straightforwad. I'd be interested to see...
That’s definitely the wrong position, which I think you know. Look how far forward your front mount is. Also your fairing seems to not fit. When I got mine (non-rail) I thought I remember they aren’t compatible with the full rail rovers and that you had to source half rails. Sorry. IDK for...
You gotta post pics. All I can say is my Gobi was dead on with zero fitment issues or adjustments needed. Followed the instructions precisely and haven't looked back since. I know that's not helpful, but there's gotta be something more going on here.
And how do you mean the ladder hits the tailgate?
I keep meaning to put it on the stops but haven’t done that. For the first few thousand miles I did rub the horns at full lock. My layperson assumption was the narrower profile would alleviate that issue even though the circumference is a touch bigger.
Good stuff here. I've been on E rated 265/65/18 Ridge Grapplers, and I see they have the 255/70s in LT. I may give those a try and maybe not so surprisingly, the 255s are 10lbs lighter per tire!

Is Seafoam a preventative thing, or where there symptoms you were specifically targeting? I always hear about it, but never used it. At most I've dumped a bottle of Red Line injector cleaner.
I'm right at 115k and three years of faultless ownership. I too love the truck, and my sweat equity I've put in. But there is a looming question about what comes next. That Land Cruiser is looking pretty exceptional if you have the means. Otherwise maintaining air suspension and timing...
Not sure which post you’re responding to. The original 2015 post? My update to this had nothing to do with the sunroof glass. I disagree with your comment about value. The whole point of my post was to determine if others had experienced this issue and their recommendations. That has value to...
Apologies for the old bump, but I now have this issue too. Headliner rattle, above driver and at the rear of the roof opening. The rattle is same whether shade is deployed or not, and I can press up on the liner to make the sound. It's almost as if a clip has broken and now there's play between...
