My SCV6 doesn’t sound like that, It sounds like the tappets. Also the SCV6 is the same engine is the Jaguar XF so you may want to send it to the Jaguar forums. What fuel do you use? The manual say 87 will cause issues 91 is ok 95 is premium. 98 is the best of the best but in canada 95 is best... -

Ok I just researched what offset is, So from a +38 to the stock +53 is -15mm difference so just over 1/2 inch. So when putting on a +38 you are moving inner wheel closer to the calliper. The problem that must be happening between the stock LR3 18inch +53 and the LR4 19inch +53 on a 2016 SCV6... -

Your thoughts on these LR4 rims/wheels?
I'm after 18 inch wheels, and the old LR3 will not fit even though they have the +53 I have to get a spacer which is $300+, Lucky8 do $200 including spacer steel wheels. I'm going to get them but I need to travel to the US to pick them up as they don't deliver internationally.
