Thanks for the comments, and the photos, guys.
I think the Redbourne's are 9.5" width (like the wheels I'm considering).
Can I put 255mm wide tires on a 9.5" rim. (Do I even want to?); or do I have to go with the wider 275's?

I have a 2014 LR4 on order.
I'm considering some custom wheels (20"), but I don't care for the 20" optional wheels from LR.
I found some I like at a fairly reasonable price ($699 + shipping for 4 20x9.5" European wheels). Of course, I'd have to add tires and pressure sensors. So, all in all, I'm...
Have you seen the latest announcement regarding the Discovery Concept; transparent bonnet?
Here's the link: http://www.interactivelandrover.com/discovery_vision_concept/DisplayRelease.php?itemID=717
And here's the YouTube video:

I was surprised that my Disco II, with it's off road prowess, would shake my fillings loose when traversing washboard. I was hoping that the LR4’s air suspension would be better.
Would any of the Traction Control settings soften the suspension, so as to mitigate the jarring on washboard??
Either turn it off before you get going, or, if you forget, turn it off anytime along the way. A bit annoying, but at least the option is there. MY2015 on won't be as fortunate.
Dan: Maybe there's no S mode nor paddle shifters because there are no Corvettes to challange there.... ;)
Liked your comment about watching the video in the mirror.
Also, I didn't see and ECO botton; presumably because they don't use Start/Stop tech on the deisels...? ...or maybe they're not...
It will be interesting to see if that really happens. I've only seen opinions on this; nothing official from Land Rover.
Anyone else found any definitive info?
My sales guy also confirmed today that wade sensing is not available in the US.
And from what Umberto is saying, it's no big loss.
And regardless of what they say, I think soaking your engine and other parts at the 700mm mark is not a good idea.
The other thing is; it's not hard to go from 700mm...
For those of you thinking about a new LR4, here's a link that will get you a pdf version of the Dealer's Brochure: http://www.britishmotorcar.com/DealerSites/6087/pdf/LR4.pdf
Ouray is one of my intended destinations as well.
I understand the fly fishing in the area can be very good.
And I'd be happy camping out each day, if it was next to one of the streams.
Counting on the LR4 to get me there !
My order for a MY2014 LR4 went in on February 6. The confirmation sheet, that starts with the 'Common Order No', also has a 'Current Planned build' date, and 'Current Planned Delivery' date (June 10, for me). (New2LR4: If you don't see an 'Order Accepted Date' nor a Current Planned Delivery...
I think you may have done pretty well. I only managed $600 off MSRP.
The dealer made it clear that for now, based on demand, they're selling at MSRP.
I checked with another dealer and it was the same.
I signed the order and put a deposit down, so my negotiating position may be gone, but I'm...
Thanks Umbertob.
I'm surprised Land Rover supplies a scissors jack; esp for such a heavy vehicle. Ever have one strip out? It ain't pretty....
But a hydro bottle jack is fairly cheap.
Anyway, looking forward to the new LR4. I enjoyed the test drive. It's quite a machine.
My order went in today. Hurray! June 10 scheduled delivery date.
Does anyone know if the order document is available online, such that I can track changes to the dates?
Also, in the detailed build list, I noticed mention of a scissors jack. Is that right? They supply a scissors jack for an LR4...

You'll find 'company' among others who have ordered or are thinking of ordering a new LR4.
My order should go in this week
2014 LR4 HSE
Ipanema Sand (or Indus Silver, if I change my mind)
Almond interior
Heavy Duty Package; Full size spare, Locking Rear Differential, 2 speed transfer case
Vision Assist Package; excellent safety features inside
Climate Comfort Package; for those cool...
Hopefully, my order is going in this week. Dealer says they're having trouble with the ordering software.
Meantime I enjoyed this video on YouTube: Land Rover Discovery 4 2014 - YouTube
Dan, If you get the LR4, I'd venture to say that you'll be all over Colorado! ...and elsewhere. Congrats on your first Grandchild. I've got 6. The older ones are starting to hike/fish with me. Something else for you to look forward to !
If you don't make the roadtrip to Seattle in the LR4.....at...
It seems the dealers like white, red and black; probably because they sell the most.
This year, with the engine shortage and the delays in getting their allocations, for sure, we'll have to distract ourselves while we wait. I was hoping for an April/May delivery. June.....that will be tough. But...
