LR3 Sun Shade
I had this problem too when I first got my LR3. But, figured out that I just needed to close the latch all the way. When you first close the shade, the latch catches, making you think that it actually is locked. But, if you try to push the latch further, it'll actually stay locked. Try it... -

Heated Steering Wheel
As it gets pretty cold here in New England, it would definitely be nice to have heated steering wheels. Hopefully, someone smart enough with and electrical engineering background would be able to figure how to retrofit the 2009 heated steering wheel on an older LR3. V -

I did my oil change once and at that time, I had to put my LR3 up on ramps for the front. It's too dangerous to just put one side on jacks, plus it would be hard to remove all lug nuts that hold the skid plates from underneath. I also found out that I needed something that would hold the skid... -

Thanks for the advice. Actually, last oil change at the LR dealer (which was a little over 3 months ago), they had put a defective filter that leaked! I took it to the local NAPA store and my friend who happens to work there replaced it with a NAPA filter. I will make sure to tell the LR guys... -

My 2008 LR3 HSE came with the red plastic insert. It was easily removed since there's only a tab that holds it in place. I would imagine that because of this, that many owners lose theirs because they drop out of place accidentally. Just a thought. I too, did not find any straps that would... -

How high can we safely run the tire pressure?
When I first took home my LR3, all tires were inflated at 50 psi. I immediately deflated them down to the factory recommended pressures. The result was a better cushy ride. Vince. -

Can anyone tell me how to remove this? It's the mat retention tabs for both driver and passenger. I don't want to just pull on it, fearing that I might break it. I ordered a weathertech mat for my LR3 and from what the website picture shows, there is no hole for this part to go into... -

Side assist steps
Here are pics of side steps for my 2008 LR3 HSE. I had my dealer install it. It wasn't cheap, but it's covered under my basic warranty. I also included a pic of a small gouge on my passenger door panel. The seat belt didn't retract fast enough and when the door closed, BAM! Good news...
