    Borg Warner ignition wires

Hello Sergei, I've had the same question for years regarding "why race teams don't use" and that is among the reasons I switch all of my applicable vehicles to Taylor Spiro-Pro wires @ my first plug/plug wire change. Taylor cable, located here in Missouri, makes the finest, longest-lasting spark...

    Missing points?

I didn't know what the points were for, or how to use them, or how many I had. I'm not sure if I know that I miss them or not. Or even if I should miss them? Thank You, LRW.

    Longer roof rails /rack

Hello Justin, Have You seen those pictures of old 109's w/ roof racks that went all the way to the front bumper? Store enough safari stuff on that to live out the rest of a lifetime, I believe. Plus the bonus of having a sun shade over your window. And room for roof top tent even if it was not...

Nobody said that we couldn't count the miles that we have to push them in our fuel economy averages, did they? I mean c'mon, these trucks are heavy. And hard to push on a downhill grade, let alone uphill! That should be worth something, anyway! Thank You, LRW.

    JKS Disconnects

Sergei, have You thought about dual-shocking the front? A friend of mine who also drives a formerly un-named small suv known for rolling over (not j**p) had to do away w/sway bar due to lift kit. Lift kit came w/dual shock mounts, and they assured him that on road handling would be better! I...

    Exhaust wraps

Sergei, as always, You are 100% correct. Hotter exhaust evacuates faster. And yes, I do now have a hotter engine compartment. But my engine itself runs much cooler than it did before I installed the header. May be part of my O2 sensor problem, as engine may sometimes wonder if it's warmed up or...

    JKS Disconnects

Sergei, floating around on the internet somewhere is instructions for ho-made disconnects that use reciever hitch pins & some bushings. This won't help your driveshaft clearance issue, but @ least you will be able to get enough drop on your axle to make the driveshaft clearance a real problem...

    Need opinions/answers...

Melissa, I know what you mean by TEXAS! I have that a similiar issue called MISSOURI! It seems like about 8 mi. to the end of my drive way, followed by 25 mi. thru the middle of nowhere to end up at a paved road that may take you near a village. I don't gun it at take-off, but by the same token...

Rear light replacement for Discovery 1

As everyone knows, I use my youngest child to reach in there to remove the bulb holders. It is easier for him to do it, plus he gets "valuable, hands-on Land Rover repair experience" which will help him when he "inherits" this Rover & all of its oddities! Get the kids involved, they (or @ least...

Hi, it's me again! I get 16 mpg average on a good week, 14 mpg on a bad week, and 27 mpg on weeks that I don't drive it at all. That's because I'm driving something else! Thank You, LRW.

    Need opinions/answers...

Hello Matt! Hello Melissa! Matt, RoverChic has a really bad biased opinion about the D1, understandably, w/all the problems that hers has given her. I wouldn't buy a D2, but that's just my D1 bias talking! Even w/a warranty the nearest Rover dealer to you when you break down will still cost you...

Some kind of Rover Event Oct. 8-10

Come on, somebody! I don't want to be the only Rover there again this year! Last time I ended up goin' wheeling w/ a bunch of J**pers! Good time, but it's kinda strange being the only quality vehicle there! Thank You, LRW.

    Oil Cooler Removal

Good evening Justin, is this the engine oil cooler that you are talking about? Or is it the tranny cooler? On any motor, or transmission for that matter, cooler is better! But my transmission man has a point, how can you expect to cool any fluid by running it through a hot radiator, as most cars...

    Exhaust wraps

Hello Sergei, When I bought the header for my formerly un-named small suv they came w/a lifetime warrenty as long as no wrap or finish was applied. They claimed that in would cause premature failure due to the fact that the heat would not be able to escape the pipe and break it down for that...

    Blown D1???

I may be confused, but in the totaly lame movie "Leauge of Extrordinary Gentlemen" wasn't Captain Nemo's car powered by a blown Rover V8? I'm sure that being filmed in the UK they probably have access to things that our dreams are made of, slowly decaying in salvage yards all over their country...

Hey there, Sergei! Thank You for your concern. I'm doing well, just waiting to pass another kidney stone! Stone #14, I believe. I'm using Demerol to relax the smooth muscles, allowing the stones to pass from my kidney to bladder. After that, I'm home free! I will drink LOTS of bottled water to...

Hey Andy, sorry for the double post! I noticed an error in puncuation & attemped to repair prior to posting, but the computor was one step ahead of me! Please delete the top post as I can't, probably due to the fact that the pain meds are kickin' in. Thank You, LRW.

Hey, Guys, Wake up! That is in the UK, right? In the UK they have 3 door Discos! Yes, 3 door Discos that look, well, alot like that! Check "Land Rover, The Unbeatable 4x4, fourth edition, pg #286. The "Queens Flight" took delivery of 5 standard 200 Tdi 3 door Discoverys, Dec. 1991. Yes, they...

Good Morning Andy, Which format do you have these in? Digital or Paper? I have paper! I reckon I could fax to Rick if I had a fax#, & can figger out how to operate my fax/printer/scanner/copier machine! If I can't do it, I'm sure one of my kids can! Thank You, LRW.
