Disco '96 intermittent start-Dealer leading me on?
I'm skeptical, is it at a land rover dealer? There's a big difference between a bad inertia switch & a bad fuel pump. I can't imagine the impeller only turns but the pump runs If I was very forgiving, I'd say put the $275 towards the pump. Pump changeout takes 1/2- to - 1hr & you can... -

Does it have a history of starting problems? When you looked at the battery & starter what do you mean? (load test, pulled the starter & bench test?) usually if I hear a clicking, (under the hood), that leads me to a starter/battery connection being loose/dirty luck,greg -

radiator remove and replace 2003-disco
if you have to remove it, (can't flush) I'd take it to a radiator shop, they can hot dip it - that'll clean it out. call first, get prices, it's not that big a deal for them & they'll pressure test. luck,greg -

Hot Start Problems
If the regulator was restraining a good pump, then I'd think the pressure would rise when you pull the vacuum line. I'm more inclined to think the regulator is wide open, the pump isn't making it, or the fuel filter is loaded. I didn't go back & read - did you already replace the filter... -

cooling system question
Oly - the reason a cooling system is designed to pressurize is that water (the basis for cooling) boils around 210 deg. F. (at sea level) If you pressurize it, the boiling point rises, if you add ethylene glycol (antifreeze), it rises more. (best @ 50/50 mix) (more glycol will actually lower... -

Engine Issue
Have you scanned it for any codes? It may have pending codes w/out turning on the cel Can you simulate it by holding the brake & giving it gas? If so, you might have somebody unplug injectors while this is happening. (Do not pull spark plug leads) luck,greg -

there's a collar (part of the switch) between the mounting brkt & the brake pedal arm. push this collar towards the brake pedal arm to release switch. Easy once you do it. luck,greg -

125 for a good DII oem is definately not a BAD deal - I'm ASS-UMING it's used. will/did they give you receipt saying it's a land rover MAF? Then you reallize it may work for years or days. I heartedly recommend only using an oem style air filter, too luck,greg -

DII & MAF & cheap don't all belong in the same sentence. You're best bet if cheap is trying to find a known good (no codes) used one. It's not likely that you will sucessfully clean a bosch MAF. I also don't think the maf will keep it from running, tho' I might be mistaken. luck,greg -

Multiple Sensor Questions
If you've got a bunch (over 150k) mi, I suppose the 110,115,120 sensors could be bad, but I'd start by cleaning the MAF, then clearing the codes. I have used MAF cleaner(spray), electronic spray, (no residue) & it worked well. I'd strongly recommemd to NOT spray parts when hot/warn as the... -
