What in the world is this? I dropped the pan due to poor oil pressure upon startup. Found the pickup tube loose. So, while it was down and out, I cleaned out the pan. What a mess. And in the bottom was this metal sleeve that almost looks like some sort of dowel pin. Its about 1/4 in tall... -

I will be attempting to change the diff and t-case fluids this week. I have never done this on a LR and was hoping I could get some advice. What oil? 90wt? Is there a gasket involved with the diffs? any other pointers? -

Mike, your advice to be cautious with the MAF is excellent advice that should be followed religiously. It seems that there are millions of cleaners out there. Just go to Auto Zone, they dedicate an entire wall to the crap. Never, never, never use something that you are not familiar with...
