cleaning engine compartment?
Hey all, My Discos pretty oilly and dusty under the hood. I want to get it all cleaned up so it looks better and so that i can detect any leaks easier. What is the best method to use. I don't care about shiny, i just want it to look clean. -

Thankyou joey, my plan with the 60 is to put the diesel engine and 5-speed tranny into my 45 pickup. Turbo and intercool it and go have some fun. a newbie with some L.R. issues
Here's an update, the dash light for the cruise does come on when pressed. I havn't had time yet to check out the vacuum pump, or the rear wiper thing yet. I did however get the power seat controls working! I removed the control pack from the vehicle and completly disassembled it. Be carefull... -

Light are staying on and I can't get my Key our of the KeySwitch!
I've had some ignition switch experiece with other, more older vehicles, but not with a Rover, yet. I've also worked with household door locks too. The question is, Why won't the key come out, and how can I get it out? I would assume your headlights are in daytime running light mode with the key... -

hi mile engine - seafoam???
I've been reading about seafoam. My rover has 307,000 kms (just under 145,000 miles) on it. It seems to run just fine. Do u use seafoam when u have a problem, or do u use it regular like to keep probs away? Or both? My engine is pretty oilly on the outside, but aren't most L.R's??? - hee, hee... -

Hey folks, Is there a good service manual out there for my '96 Disco that you wud recomend??? Also, in the owners manual they recommend running (i think i have to order correct) lower tire pressures in the front tires and higher in the rear, around an 8 to 10 psi difference (on 135/75r16)... -

exhaust (cat) questions
Nah, there's no testing in my area and they will have to pry my cold, stiff fingers off the steering wheel of my rig before I move anywhere else. I just bought the Rover so I haven't got any indication of the mileage it gets yet. I work in a fabrication shop so I was thinking of removing that... -

Mechanic friends of mine are always telling me to cut the cats out on anything because they are a nuisance and plug up and all that.
