    Terrafirma hidden winch install

I honestly don't recall how I mounted the windshield washer, BUT what if you milled out the washer bottle hole to snuggly fit the spacer into it? That would simply hold up the washer bottle, while the screws are securing the washer bottle.

    Upper control arm prices

You're right, I've always used a pitman arm puller. Sometimes there's enough tension (not by choice) that you can just tap the top of the knuckle with a medium purse (5 lbs sledge hammer), and it'll pop right off.

    Upper control arm prices

Nice find on the video. That's exactly where I was at... It's impossible for a regular joe like myself without the proper tools to torque it down. Is there a proper tool to torque it down in the weirdest position?

I've done my own upper ball joints and used this one from Amazon. You can rent them from Autozone or any parts stores nowadays, but I wanted my own set.

Has anyone tried doing the front ucas themselves? If so, how do you get the bolts off and torque it down to spec?

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

Use a spray bottle with soapy water and spray everything to check if there's bubbles to truly tell if theres any leaks. I typically raise/lower the vehicle while in motion. I don't like the amount of stress and unnecessary wear on the tires on pavement while stationary.

    Refueling out on the trail

Maybe I should have gone with the standard spout vs the flexible spout. Maybe I'm pouring it out wrong too. I have it right side up, sideways, or upside down with my metal flex spout and it doesn't matter which direction, it takes forever. As fuel comes out air goes in, and doesn't allow a fast...

I still have my 2 Wavian cans with flexible metal spout. I guess I'm pouring it wrong cause it takes forever.

    Refueling out on the trail

With all the break/fix posts, I thought I'd post something different. How is everyone refueling out on the trail? I'd love to get a Long Range permanent fuel tank, but can't justify over $2k on it and I've been thinking about this since 2015. I used Wavian (jerry) fuel cans and I really hated...

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

You seriously missed out on the Black Friday sales on Lucky8, it was $448. The cheaper alternative is Autel AP200, it's another alternative that does a few things like suspension calibration, register new key, and some other minor things besides the basic code reading/clearing, live values...

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

Try recalibrating your suspension. If you have extension rods on your height sensors, swap them back to oem, and recalibrate your suspension with the Gap IID Tool.

    Aftermarket Valve Covers

There is absolutely nothing wrong with OEM. I had leaky valve cover corners due to hard old valve gaskets, and replaced them with aftermarket Elwis valve cover gaskets. The PCV valves on the cover of bank 1 is super easy to replace and are under $30 diy aftermarket parts. Have you done your...

    Wire Loom Cover

I think they're all pre-wired, regardless if fitted or not, just plug and play. You'll also need the heated seat buttons on the console, also pre-wired.

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

From my understanding, you don't have a Gap IID Tool. So, you'll probably have to ask someone that has the proper tool to do this for you. IF this costs money to clear the adaptation values, then I would suggest putting that $$ towards the Gap IID Tool. It seriously pays for itself and you'll...

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

Here's my 2 cents and take it with a grain of salt. With all those new parts, have you tried clearing all the adaptation values? This will force the ecu to relearn new values, which means that it will reset to factory fuel trims. It will relearn all the fuel curves over a few days of driving...

    Starting issue

My issue was that I was 1/2 quart low on transmission fluid. I added the missing transmission fluid and had to recalibrate the transfer case with the IIDTool. In the middle of the recalibration, it requires you to start the truck. If it doesn't start the truck on the first try, you need to...

    Fuel Tank Shield/Skid Plate

I have a slightly banged up gas skid for free, but it's in San Diego, CA if ypu want to pick it up. I went with a Dark Crow Designs galvanized skid plate. It's pretty robust and haven't dinged it yet. https://www.instagram.com/p/CeyaJcALCR2/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

LR4 V8 smog help - catalytic monitor won't get to ready state

One of the very few things that the iid tool doesn't have. You'll need a "regular" Land Rover compatible odb2 scanner to view it. I have an iCarsoft i930 (backup) that reads it.

    2010 LR4 Off-road wheel and tire options

I'm pretty much on the same page with you here. Re-gearing would be amazing for anything bigger than 32"! I'm on 33s too and I found that you can manipulate the gearing software to make it run "better". I used my Gap IID Tool to change the "Tyre Size MSB - IPC" to 30 and my speedometer was...

LR4 V8 smog help - catalytic monitor won't get to ready state

For those that come across this issue where you've driven over 100 miles after clearing codes, the Catalytic Monitor and O2 Monitor reads "INC" (incomplete) instead of "RDY" or Ready, there's a solution. My trusted smog guy for over 20 years told me the easiest way to get it ready is to drive...
