China and Land Rover Shortages
Hard to imagine, but this is what LR of San Jose told me in May as they took my driver's license and did a background check (guess I could've been involved in a lux vehicle exporting ring :wink: )on me before they allowed me on the waiting list to order an LR4. -

Future LR Models in US
If/when I get a second vehicle for myself I'd be looking at a 2 door low end wrangler, the low tech, removable doors and top are appealing to me in a luddite way. If a Defender in similar features was available I'd certainly look at it. -

What kind of price negotiation to use when ordering a 2014 LR4?
For reference I'm in the San Jose are of Cali. My LR4 will be arriving any day now and I have an "estimated" final breakdown from the dealer; straight MSRP of the vehicle and options (as you'd see on the website), about $550 for license/reg, and local sales tax. Traffic Monitoring System Data Comes via FM
Ha, our Honda 2012 Nav system failed to warn us about the Gilroy Garlic festival a couple weeks ago on our way back from Hunnington Beach. :( Looking forward to CarPlay, I'm hoping that we'll be able to replace our NAV HW system in our LR4s to use it when it's released. -

New member - considering LR4 HSE
I had to get my MY14 order finalized by end of May for an Aug 30th delivery date. Have read on other forums that the LR factory retools for new MYs from July/August. If this is true it's likely that I'll be getting part of the last batch of MY14s. And possibly anything ordered now could... -

FYI - here's the other thread I was referring to, another 2014 LR4 had it's electrical system turn off (this time allegedly going ~40 mph). No updates from OP, perhaps wanting to remain anonymous on the board as they're likely dealing with LR over the issue...
