    Top of Door Panel Damage

The top of the doorsill material is wrinkling up. It was a bit wrinkled when I picked it up 2 years ago, but worse now. I don’t think the sun is helping. Anyone else with the issue? Solutions? I’ve thought about getting the Melville & Moon seat covers and asking for a piece of material to put...

    Dealership Multi-Point Inspection INSANE Recommendations!

A little update worth just over $10k. Took it to an independent exhaust shop. They don‘t believe it needs manifolds, but does need new catalytic converters. This for about $4200. Still a lot of money, but much better.

    Quick Brake Change Tool Question

I was about to change my front brakes when I got to the calipers and discovered that none of my flat wrenches were actually skinny enough to get on the inner part of the nut. I want successful tracking down a skinny wrench (15mm?) at Lowes either. All my wrenches are Craftsman. Any specific...

    Dealership Multi-Point Inspection INSANE Recommendations!

I might do myself, but I'm deep into selling a house, buying a house and building a bathroom along with a promotion at work so I might punt to a trusted shop with parts I've purchased.

    Dealership Multi-Point Inspection INSANE Recommendations!

I did notice a little wobble suggesting warped disks occasionally, so picked up EBC pads, rotors and new sensors as recommended by Lucky8.

    Dealership Multi-Point Inspection INSANE Recommendations!

That’s an insane amount of time. I am certain you did it 100% correctly though. Besides the DTC I rarely notice anything. On rare occasion I’ll notice a bit of what I believe to be exhaust leak noise. I didn’t think this was an issue with these cars. And possibly more work then swapping the engine??

    Dealership Multi-Point Inspection INSANE Recommendations!

I looked up that part number and it doesn’t show as a fuel pump so I really have no idea. The number does not match the correct fuel pump for and LR4.

    Dealership Multi-Point Inspection INSANE Recommendations!

I dropped of my LR4 the other day for the fuel tank flange repair. A couple interesting things from that convo - I asked if they would check and advise in the DTC I am getting regarding air fuel mixture and they said sure, for $209. I said I pass, thanks. They then did it anyway (for free) as...

LR4 5.0 V8 - recent timing chain service with 4 new camshaft adjusters - still seems somewhat noisy??

I think it’s hard to judge actual volume from a video and my seem louder than it is? My 2011 sounds similar to your recording at times, but varies somewhat and isn’t what I would call loud. I think I just accept it’s a bit noisier engine than the LX470 I had.. ok, way noisier but with 100 more...

Gobi Rack Install Question - help needed...

Waiting on my Gobi rack to be shipped next week. What was the end result of your install? Did you have to buy parts?

    SAD ENDING TO OUR LR4

Beat me to it... Buy it back and part it out if you have somewhere to put it and time to wrench parts off.

Just exceeded warranty, where is everyone buying oil and Filters from to perform fluid change

The GAP tool? I guess I haven't found that menu, lol. For the OP - I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance, OEM filter and change every 7500 as per FSM. I have no idea why LRNA recommended 15k when their own FSM says 7500 . dumb

    Service Schedule

I had found the service schedules that Atlantic British posted for some LRs, but they had never done the one for the LR4, so I took their model and made one. I also included info on it from the FSM based on the "Arduous" schedule as almost all of us in NA will meet those conditions and its good...

New Recall Alert : Fuel System

You got a fuel pump out of them too? Or was that work that was needed anyway? I was going to have the dealer replace that while in there doing the flange.

Looking for mechanic/price on putting back together head gaskets and top engine

My suggestion would be to call local shops that work on LR. some shops may be hesitant to put something back together that they didn’t do first. I did do this once on my D2 years ago but the owner of the shop was a friend.

    Coolbox Install

That won’t be too many amps? That’s the only reason I didn’t try that yet!

    Coolbox Install

The fuse is a 10amp. I have to figure out how to power the Coolbox to test it.

    Coolbox Install

I picked up a Coolbox from a yard that was tested prior to me getting it. When i connected it to the LR4, it briefly came on then stopped. The switch was also briefly illuminated. Checked the fuse, which appears good - although I’ll switch it out anyway. The plug from the car has no power. I...

For those who have other things to worry about other than crossover pipe failure/catastrophic overheating

Doing pump soon with a flush as preventative maintenance. I’ll add the sensor to the list! Crossovers done in the last couple years. Also on a replacement schedule.

I happened across this online and was about to pull the trigger. Anyone else downloaded this? https://www.epcatalogs.com/land-rover-discovery-4-l319-lr4-wsm-2010-2012-set-of-pdf-manuals/ Im particularly interested in the service check sheets.
