    Towing

LR3 hands down, as long as you aren't overly concerned about the fuel economy. For fuel efficient towing, I suggest a MINI Clubman :hello:

    Spark Plugs & wires

How was the install? Looks like a lot of shop time is required per the sources I checked. Was there easy access or did you need to pull anything out of the way? Sorry for the basic questions, I haven't honestly looked under the hood yet to estimate a DIY on this. But I've done plugs many...

    Random Faults

I get those random warnings generally whenever the weather gets colder. I'd chalk it up as an anomoly. Reboot is your friend :) Perhaps you missed my "tip of the day" last week? :hello: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16557

    "easter egg" thread. (hidden tricks)

Yes, and a few seconds should be sufficient. Also, the random dummy lights can also be a sign of a weak battery. And now back to our easter egg hunt...

Transfer Case & Differential Fluid Specification

There are many LR documents found here and on other sites, including TSB's and various instructions downloaded from the Land Rover Global Technical Reference (GTR) website. I don't think there is no issue with posting, as long as it is for non-commercial use (i.e you aren't trying to sell...

    60k Service Costs/worth??

Agree. My dealership wants $100 for the coolant flush alone, and this is a "service special". Edmunds shows about $50 for parts/labor for the same service. I'm less than 2K miles from the 60K service, so don't have an actual invoice to share yet. Others have already crossed the threshold...

    hood decal

I also had my front lettering replaced under warranty without any problem. If they fade simply by washing the truck, then they are unfit for normal use and should be replaced. Your dealer representative is being bone-headed. This is a common issue. Go to another dealer if necessary.

    hood decal

Dark grey is normal, that is how they come when new. When they fade and the finish becomes uneven, the dealer will replace under warranty. As others have mentioned, you can DIY removal of the lettering (a.k.a. debadge) using dental floss. Also, heating first with a hair dryer will help...

    Luxury package, sell fast?

It's a buyers' market, I wouldn't be too worried about a pre-owned 3 ton SUV with a V8 "selling quick" these days. Just checked cars.com and there are 21 available in my area alone. If you are not pressed for time, you may want to continue to wait for the right one.

    A couple questions

Never saw that option before on the LR3. If you look at the lower front bumper in first post, it looks like it may have the radar sensor thingy in there for the adaptive cruise control. Did someone do a retrofit?

Automotive Dark Ages and the new LR4

Last I checked, you can still plunk down your hard earned cash on a new Camaro SS, a Shelby Mustang GT500, or a Dodge Challenger R/T with a HEMI motor. However, change is inevitable. That is why we have technology like ABS, Sat Navigation, Dynamic Stability Control, multi-stage airbags...

Yup, that's the same fix. Glad it worked out for you. TCM is the transmission control module.

Sport Mode causes rear end thunk at low speeds?

I don't think SB036 would apply to a 2007 as it was released summer 2006 so his VIN range would not match the TSB. However the same type of transmission module reflash may untimately fix bcaese's issue, as he is reporting the same symptom. First I've heard of this in a 2007 LR3, so it could...
