    Ambient Temperature Guage

How high? My guage occasionally displays 5-10 degrees above actual outside temps on very hot days. Then the cooling fan kicks on and it settles down closer to reality. Taken on a 98 degree day:

Do you regret keeping it past warranty?

I'm 18 months now out of warranty (without any extended warranty) and no regrets.

    OEM Driving Lights

I just followed the OEM instruction booklet. The in-dash work was the most challenging part. Removing that seal is necessary to access the proper wire connections. However, I have to warranty to worry about!

    Rover rant

Excessive washing may lead to premature electrical failure ;) My current list includes a slightly low right front corner (need to recalibrate height sensor) and one sticking door lock. Been successfully ignoring both for a while now :)

What tire pressure do you run?

Ryan - LR3 is very close to 50/50 weight distribution. I use the recommended pressure with 111 load rated 19s. No problems, just need to reset with each rotation.

    Ashtray won't close

Try the forum search for "ashtray". There were several related threads recently. A fairly common issue, replacement part is a low cost item, but a bit of a PITA to remove. One tip - I've read (on another forum) that there is a "non-smokers" version available. It replaces the lighter with a...

Rausch Creek,PA : Trail Recommendations for the LR3

I'd be up for a trip on the green trails in the fall (still running stock). Just need more advanced notice to hold the date.

Things I have done with my Faultmate MSV-2!!!

Nice! Did the ride height recalibration solve your lean issue? I have developed a "lazy" right front corner and was considering a recalibration.

    getting new tires put on

Use of the proper lift points can be important when raising your vehicle

    getting new tires put on

    1) Leave all of your suspension settings in 'normal' mode 2) When you come down off the lift, you will automatically be in "extended" mode. Just use the EAS toggle switch in the center console to return to "normal" mode. 3) If all else fails, just drive until you exceed 15 MPH (or...

    Cmgrover- Off Road

Ok, good luck. Time to get out for another try then ;) To clarify some of the prior posts, it is normal for the EAS compressor to run when you start the LR3 (rare coil spring models excluded :)

    Cmgrover- Off Road

Are you still getting the intermittent fault light? The fact that the compressor motor is still running is not confirmation of a healthy compressor. A faulty compressor is typically charaterized by being weak, rather that a total failure. I know first hand, I am on my 4th compressor, and...

Will I need spacers switching to stock 19" wheels?

    Direct bolt on....

    Cmgrover- Off Road

Could be time for a new compressor. Whatever triggered the fault has stored a code and your dealer can read it. About going "offroad", might be too little to late for this band of misfits :)

    is wood stock on a LR3 05?

Suggest heating it with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then gently remove. Goof-off or rubbing alcohol may work to remove any residual adhesive. This is not from experience, just how I would attempt it. Try a google search on this topic too, probably lots of tips from people...

What did you do to your LR3 today?

Mhaise - the washer fluid reservoir is in that location (shown below) but could be other issues too. Do you have a sump guard?

Driving lamps w/ metal LR nudge bar

Looking from this angle pictured below, it would appear that if the lights were moved up to the bumper, that they would sit too high and would bump the bar. Another option might be to "french" the lights into the front grille. "land crzy" mounted a pair inside the grille, looks great, but has...
