Question about Suspension Faults and Blowing out the lines

I also used silicon on my o'rings; I left the car for about three and a half weeks while traveling and didn't notice any appreciable sagging; I have to think the valves are pretty reliable as they're not that complicated in terms of their operation (it's three solenoids). What do you think of...

    Suspension dropped while in traffic

Do the overnight test as mentioned by f1racer328; leave it longer if you can; that will confirm if there's a leak. I suspect however, as others have pointed out that this is just a levelling adjustment and you don't need to worry. There's no other reason for these to drop unless there's some...

    Good Used Buy

FWIW - Price seems consistent with midwest prices; 134K miles and age. It's certainly in nice condition. I just spent three weeks in the UK; there are so many L3's and L4's on the road I suspect prices are lower (didn't look but saw a few other Land Rover vehicles that appeared to be quite...

What kind of leak is this?

Thanks for keeping us updated; I have this job in my future so seeing the pictures provides some inspiration... I plan to do timing chains at the same time.

    P0500 VSS OBD2 "A" circuit

I think I changed the front right (passenger side in the US) first; when that didn't work I changed the rear right; power of deduction! The cables were not that expensive so I purchased both front and rear at the same time. Front...

    P0500 VSS OBD2 "A" circuit

Yeah, it was the rear right sensor I believe; changing the sensor took probably 15 minutes so it's quite easy.

    Timing Chain tensioning issue

Thank you so much for the details, reading your comments makes me realize I still have a lot to learn before I tackle this project!... I see you also did the crossover pipes which I was also planning to tackle at the same time (makes sense since the valve covers have to come off!).

    Timing Chain tensioning issue

Can you comment on roughly how long it takes to do this job (chain replacement)? I have it on my radar for the fall!

    Suspension Fault — Temp Sensor?

Have you taken a look at your respective valves; there are three. One is situated in the front passenger wheel well; one is situated in front of the compressor and the third is on the rear driver side wheel well. I bought a new set of o'rings and serviced all three valves, I suspect this made...

    Suspension Fault — Temp Sensor?

I documented my journey in this thread: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/2012-lr4-reluctant-to-lower-from-off-road-suspension-mode.44636/ I'm sure there were many issues that I ended up fixing along the way but the silver bullet was the firmware change from Hitachi to AMK.

    Suspension Fault — Temp Sensor?

Agreed on that front, I had many fault codes caused by the wrong RLM ECU firmware. The IID Tool fixed this.

    Suspension Fault — Temp Sensor?

Thanks for confirming the issue and resolution; I see this is a Hitachi compressor; I wonder if the AMK also does this (rhetorical question...).

    Wood panel door inserts

I have the same issue with the "wooden" panels, I figured if I wait long enough I'll stop seeing the issue!... I have removed the door card to fix a locking issue and observed how to remove this wooden trim but decided that was a project for another day, it looked easy enough though! I'm in...

    Long crank, no faults

Great - Thanks Jimmy; just never really paid attention to this change with direct injection engines so every time I kept reading the word coil I was scratching my head, I get it now :) - Thanks for confirming. Good luck by the way getting to the bottom of this issue; it would be great if it's...

2014 LR4 SCV6 - oil leaking from vacuum pump and upper timing cover on passenger side

Ouch - Guess I'd ask: - how many hours of work is it - what do you charge per hour - what do the parts cost I'm guessing on the V6 that the supercharge has to come off? $2K at $150/hr is 13hr 20min; why does it take this long? I'm sure others on this thread can chime in on that question and...

    Air Suspension Performance

I sometimes put my key in a hydration bag which goes in the trunk; I don't have any problems with this location! Sorry, not what you want to hear. It's good to hear you're beyond the suspension issues... Did you find any ways to locate the key via a scanning type tool, I read RFID but are...

Louder than “normal LR4” engine/idle noises POST timing chain replacement - help my friends! (audio/video link in post!)

Sounds like something is loose; there's also a tick tick noise; an underlying noise rather than a predominant noise. Have you tried taking off the skid plate and looking from underneath and then at the same time using your hands to check for loose parts? I think the stethoscope is also a good...
