    Air Suspension head scratcher

Yeah - I used the type that you put on water based o'rings (for plumbing). It certainly helps seal and keep the rubber moist and therefore helps to prevent perishing.

Been waiting for this update... Good luck with that rear valve bad boy! Remember that silicon is your friend and also pay attention to the o'rings on the couplings.

Cars and Bids LR4 Purchase & More

I had the same issue with the rear nuts all requiring a 23mm socket and even that was tight... I bought the Eisen chrome wheel nuts last October: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0843PW9PN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 On the box they suggest not using a impact wrenches...

I hope you're having fun with all this cleaning, it's really having a great impact :). I used this stuff in the past for restoring plastic, it works well and lasts a reasonable time: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071FRWWRF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Can you comment...

Default air temp at startup w/auto climate

I suspected that the case with heaters! And was also wondering about the iiD tool now that I have one! Anyway, don't want to hijack the OP's thread! Good to know we're on the same page wrt to the heat.

Default air temp at startup w/auto climate

Mine definitely doesn't do this... I have a somewhat similar complaint in that my front windscreen heater and rear heater always come on... I prefer to be in charge of this!... I did purchase a replacement for this control panel (as I had issues with sticky buttons) but can't really comment...

Just a bit off topic - Austin Marina

Same great memories here, I remember my Dad having a few of them; driving to the beach (Burton Bradstock - Dorset) in them, must have been the early seventies as mentioned... Oh sharing that rear bench seat with my sister and fighting all the way; no seatbelts, headrests, car seats... How...

So new pipe and what else? Valve block or o'rings??? Curious!

    Air Suspension head scratcher

On my 2012 LR4 taking the spare out didn't really help me as the exhaust portion of the suspension system was in the way (I didn't know at the time that the white and black plastic cylinder was the exhaust for the suspension)... Anyway, what I did was remove the valve block from it's mounting...

Land rover LR3 Reservoir valve code air suspension disaster.. PLEASE HELP

Are you confident that the RLM (ride leveling module) ECU firmware is correct for the compressor that you have installed (AMK vs Hitachi)? I've just been down that path and my issues went away once I had the right firmware.

    Air Suspension head scratcher

I've just been through 4months of the same, I realize this isn't as long as your experience but I'm sort of OCD when it comes to these things! I don't like not knowing!... Anyway, keep us posted, I know for sure that that RR to valve is a pain in the a** to follow. Good luck.

    Air Suspension head scratcher

I agree, the RR seems to be the culprit, I just plotted the data in Excel and see this: I definitely think that the RR is pulling down the RF and the LR, here are the height changes vs time: It looks like after three hours the rear is already dropping but only by 1/8". Checking that the...

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

Yes, but the moral of the story is that not all scanners show the firmware correctly (the Indy shop had a scanner showing it as flashed with AMK firmware (incorrectly)). The iiDTool showed it as Hitachi (the iidTool being correct in this case), once flashed with AMK firmware the problems went...

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

OK, so to close the loop on this... four days later and several trips including suspension calibration I have not once received the C1A13-64. This is great news so far... I don't want to count my chickens but so far the suspension has been rock solid. It's been a great learning journey and I...

Land rover LR3 Reservoir valve code air suspension disaster.. PLEASE HELP

So: It's all pointing to a wiring issue, perhaps check the wires all look OK. I measured the resistance on my exhaust valve solenoid and got 15ohms. I have a spare reservoir block and could measure the resistance on that valve for you to compare. Did you make any other progress with this...

    Air Suspension head scratcher

I think we're both assuming... It doesn't say which valve it opens and to be honest I don't know! By opening the valve on an individual corner you would also have to open the exhaust valve at the same time (to vent the pressure). In this scenario you're "throwing" away good air pressure...
